Hearthstone Voyage to the Sunken City Decks - The Best New Decks for the Expansion!
You want the best Voyage to the Sunken City deck for day 1? Mech Mage, Pirate Rogue, Mill Warlock, Silence Priest, whatever kind of Sunken City deck you are looking for, we have tried to feature it in this news post, and more decks will be added during release! As always, these decks are mostly made without play testing, so expect a healthy amount of refining to be needed before we arrive at the decks that shape the Voyage to the Sunken City Meta.
If at any point you feel inspired to create your own deck, you can go here to our deckbuilder. Remember that a good description and guide to how to play your deck and a mulligan strategy will greatly increase the chance of people upvoting it!
This Decks List will be updated throughout Release day and some days beyond. Check back to see if there's anything you like!

Voyage to the Sunken City Card List & Expansion Guide
Learn more and see all the cards in our dedicated Card List.
that is true and sad at the same time..
in many games people just follow strict guides or strict builds. that's the reality of the situation
No Wild? :-(
Need to look better, mate. There's 10 Wild decks, 1 for each class at the end of the article, and linked to from the top.
Wild tends to be hard to find decks for that really have new cards in them, but we put in the effort to find some anyway, and they all have at least 2 Sunken City cards in them. :)
Ah, sorry did not pay close attention.
That's why I'll propose my idea once again: change the background for wild deck.
In game there is "wild indication" with... I don't know: sprouts? Roots?
If not background - add just a "wild frame" to these decks & they will be much quicker to recognize.
Nah, I just need to do a better job of linking them at the top of the article, making it more clear they are there. I'll get on that in a minute. :)
And done. Should have done this from the start. Wild now has a link to their decks same as the classes have, in the same spot. Should be much clearer now.
And for next expansion we will have a nice graphic from the Pixelbender himself HooliganPolygon to replace the currently rather hacky Wild Gem image to be more inline with the class images we used. :)
Many people, me included, suck at deckbuilding, but enjoy playing card games all the same. We just need at least something of a coherent starting point that is more refined then "let's just throw all these cards I want to play with in a deck and see how it goes.".
I think most people will adjust the deck lists they get on Day 1 of an expansion. We all know they are unrefined and just basic ideas about how a deck can be made. But they are a nice starting point and we can all play with them and drop cards we feel are bad and add cards that we feel might be good (or see being good while we play against other people).
For fun, just go back to any of our older Expansion Deck posts and check the decks in them. They are, without fail, filled with decks that need refining. And some of them just plain suck or try to use cards we eventually found were just not cards you can have a reasonable win rate with. Like Wing Commander Ichman or Cera'thine Fleetrunner (remember those cards?).
In short, we make these posts cause people really really REALLY want some basic ideas about how to build a deck when they have just opened their packs, but don't mistake these decks for anything close to the final product that people play with on ladder 2 weeks later.
"In the case that the community doesn't want to enjoy theorycrafting their own decks, AND that they missed the the plethora of theorycraft streams, please cite over 20 decklists so that we have a fun experience tomorrow morning."
But in all seriousness. Can we wait at least a couple of days before these streams/guides...
Most people are not able to build their own decks. Its simple as that.
Not debating whether you are correct, but it is a bit sad for humankind if true. Most of the decks come more or less ready-made from Blizz. Add the cards that say pirate, mech or murloc etc to the corresponding class, make sure the curve is decent and you're good to go. After a few games you get a feel for what you need to adjust. Not-so-pro-tip: trim the fat (high cost fancy pay-offs) and add more boring low-drops on most lists linked above. -Or he will indeed hunt you down :-)
