The wording in the card is heavily misleading. It basically shares Gruul's one but doesn't act the same way. It doesn't spawn imps at the end of each turn, only yours! Gruul instead correctly gets +1/+1 at the end of your turn AND the opponent's turn! And that makes a huge difference.
This guy is great in decks built around him. I think some people might underestimate just how good an infinitely respawning board at end game can be. It doesn't hurt that Neeru has a beefy body at 5/5. There's also good support for him during the fatigue stage, specifically Envoy Rustwix and Lord Jaraxxus. Soul Rend resolves before Envoy Rustwix shuffles his cards in, making it a solid play after opening the portal. Really enjoying this archetype, and the combined winrate of the 3 decks I have featuring this guy is 22-6. Neeru is definitely winning games.
Its a decent and fun card but it doesn't seem too strong imo, my opponent always find a way to stop all my imps :(
I unironically just beat a Hero Power mage and a control Warrior with a deck with him included (NO Tickatus), in case some of you are wondering whether you should craft him.
Really fun.
I've been playing a deck based around this guy, and I absolutely love it. Really Powerful card.
This card is being slept on I think
Chef Nomi but every turn and lower stats. Is on Warlock tho who will already have low health. Can combo with Rustwik and add cards so maybe not too bad? Would suck to discard with all the discard cards added to the set
Too bad Archivist Elysiana will rotate from Standard, but will do a meme deck on wild xD
No, the card says "YOUR BOARD".
No, the comment said "OPPONENT'S TURN".
Since it says each turn I'm guessing it summons imps on your opponents turn as well.
After seeing the portal it's "at the end of your turn" wasn't as powerful as I initially thought but I still think this has great potential it's basically an extra win condition, which is something warlock lacked before Darkmoon Faire, Neeru I welcome you to my arsenal.
Terrible card design and this destroy archetype is likely to ruin your key win cons.
Might be okay assuming we ever see a control meta again. Fatigue cards don't do much when OTK demon hunter kills you from hand on turn 7.
Burn away the otk cards easy
think this is going to be an alternate win condition against control at the end for zoo decks
Not sure why people call this trash when it's just a card you can slot in any controllock, think about it, Elysiana but instead of trying to make the game longer you're just trying to finish off your opponent with waves of 3/2, if a board of them survive it's 18 damage that you can target in 3 damage bursts, sure you take a few fatigue damage but your opponent has to deal with armies of imps. And you can always play a card like Rustwix after that guy to delay fatigue a bit if really
Nether Portal was never too good or impactful even if created really early, opponent never cared much about free 2 3/2s each turn. This is stronger but comes into play much later than nether portal could and won't see play. No, self mill with Tickatus is not worth it.
question though:
do you still take fatigue damage?
if not: then this card might be ok and the archetype could have a little bit of lift as a potential sleeper deck, if you don't discard the card that is.
if you do: then this card is garbage as your opponent can just remove each wave of imps until you die from a fatigue card.
warlock has better decks if they want to be a control deck, envy warlock is a good example.
This could be a good late game answer, but there's already too many cards to render this too "greedy"
Can't technically be played until all else is lost, and you can't get there fair unless you're against control decks (Which specialize in removals)
IF tickatus is still a viable card to play in the next meta, then this is absolutely uselss.
worst card i ever seen lol
