March of the Lich King: Card List, Release Date, & Expansion Details
Hearthstone's third expansion in the Year of the Hydra is March of the Lich King! The release date for the expansion is Tuesday, December 6th most likely at 10am PST/ 1pm EST/ 19:00 CEST/ 18:00 BST.
The Lich King returns to Hearthstone, leading his Undead army and the new Death Knight class in an all-out assault on the elven city of Silvermoon! The Blood Elves won’t go down easily; they are as thirsty for combat as they are for the magic of the Sunwell that they draw power from. As the Corpses pile up, the Death Knights’ army swells, and so begins the March of the Lich King.

Mini-Set Info
As the Battle for Silvermoon rages on, a massive shadow blots out the sun. To their horror, the Blood Elves see a floating necropolis, Naxxramas, approaching their fair city. This evil entity is unnatural, but something about it feels familiar. They brace themselves and call for help. This is the March of the Lich King Mini-Set, Return to Naxxramas!
Return to Naxxramas unlocks Death Knight’s full potential with the class’s first Location and Colossal cards! But the Lich King isn’t the only one getting support. The Mini-Set also includes all-new Dual-Type minion creations, advanced synergies, and a terrifying new way to win the game!
- Will consist of 4 Legendaries (x1), 1 Epic (x2), 17 Rares (x2), and 16 Commons (x2) -- for a total of 38 new cards.
- Will contain Death Knight’s first Location and Colossal card, Dual-Type minion creations, advanced synergies, and a terrifying new way to win the game!
- Will be released on Tuesday, February 14.
- Normal version of all the mini-set cards can be bought for 2000 Gold or 1500 Runestones and the all-Golden version can be purchased for $69.99 or, for the first time ever, 10,000 Gold.
- The Golden Mini-Set option also includes a bonus Diamond Legendary!

Signature Cards
With the March of the Lich King expansion there's also a new cosmetic quality type coming to Hearthstone, Signature. Much like Golden and Diamond cards, they do not add to the functionality of the card, but are purely cosmetic.
Signature Cards cannot be disenchanted or crafted, but can come from several sources, including as drops from Standard Packs, Class Packs, March of the Lich King Packs, and new March of the Lich King Signature Golden Packs.
To learn about them in more detail, including their drop rates and future looks, read this complete guide on them we did!
Pre-Orders
Once again we have two bundles available. The standard pre-purchase is priced at $49.99, while the Mega bundle is $79.99.
Both bundles are available in the in-game shop and can be purchased up to one week after expansion release.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: u can buy PATH OF ARTHAS SET WITH GOLD through "GOLDEN PATH OF ARTHAS SET" in the store, then choose "NORMAL". have no idea!! why they made it that way if not to make it so noone pays through this method...
Mmmm... True, but bundle's cards are not good, I prefer to spent 2.000 gold in 20 packs.

GUESS WHO'S BACK, BACK AGAIN
Anyone else think it's kind of an ass move on Blizzard to lock 26 of the new class cards behind a paywall? Every other card can be earned via packs. But the Path to Arthas says Mega bundle, stand alone purchase or crafting.
can be bought with gold
Not really. I mean, hs is a card collecting game and it's nice to include different methods of getting these cards.
kinda suprised there isnt a arthas or new lich king card
Now that all the cards are revealed I kinda understand why Manathirst keyword feels underwhelming. You just need to wait passively for the keyword to be active unless you are a Druid which you can ramp to it. Speaking of Druid they already had two Manathirst cards, Bogbeam and Ironbark and back in The Boomsday Project expansion we had the Omega Cards which activate when you had 10 mana.
Anyways, I kinda also understand why the keyword isn’t flashy, probably because they want all the attention to be on the Death Knight class
Death Knight is the new baby in the family. Blizzard still loves all the other classes, just not as much. That's probably why they forgot everyone else's class Identity this expansion
Even though the supported archetypes are sometimes questionable, I feel the flavor of the cards are really nice. Rogue got concoctions, mage and hunter got arcane which fits, druid continues with Nerubian (even though Nerubians aren't druids, but at least it adds continuity in HS), ...
Paladin got some blood elf cards, but you would think they would do something with a holy package. Since holy was such a strong and important part in Northrend.. No, instead they got some random weak dragons. With 1 neutral dragon in the entire expansion? They didn't even do a new sindragosa. Missed opportunity if you ask me!
decks I wanna try:
miracle rogue with concoctions support
usain bolt mage
arcane quest hunter
all kinds of tribal undead decks possible
This expansion with its "grimdark" design seals the deal of Blizzard leaving China.
China was ardent on banning game stuff with blood and bones, which might explain why we had so many cards with cartoon design. They even had their own WoW version with most undead stuff censored.
I never really liked the cartoonish style so I'm happy if they really leave China
I really don't have high hopes for this expansion. I think the entire meta is going to revolve around Denathrius DKs, and even if they nerf it, I think Jailer Paladin is still going to be a major problem. Jailer Pally is a nasty deck in the current meta, and there doesn't appear to be enough general removal outside of blood DK to really counter it. Meanwhile, Jailer pally is getting Street Sweeper to better counter the early board.
December of the Lich King
Do we know what cards will have signature editions ?
rogue is the one class im hoping is good because they never make these class-specific mechanics bad (eventually)
My prediction is druid will still rule with guff. Miracle priest and miracle rogue will surely thrive.
