The Cinematics
Okay they only got the American time zones right. Classic Americans.
Are Blizzard late or is the release time on this page wrong?
Why Faterican always have expansions earlier.
Not enough anti aggro. And with the amount of secret support it's weird that they didn't print new anti secret card.
Well DH is gonna be a pain in the ass. Warlock is gonna be my go to class this expansion I guess.
Seeing alot of combo potential in the class with Deck of Chaos
Also hunter seems to have some combo potential with Trampling Rhino.
probably just have to sit out the few first weeks so the meta settles to see if its gonna be aggro or more control favoured.
I think I already know the answer there though *Cries*.
Bound to be fun on the dark moon faire with the new old god cards as wel!
Also, Wild is MEANT to be broken/OP/hard. Bad analogy incoming but..
Standard = Girls
Wild = Girls Gone Wild
Blade Dance acts as hard removal just fine if you ask me. They can easily get 10 attack which removes most threats that any opponent can muster in an average DH game.
Dealing a lot of damage is not the same as playing polymorph/Flick etc. But efficient, true! So if we count Blade dance as hard removal as well... I guess it's just buffs that he doesn't have (sigh). And if you easily get 10 attack with other cards, in order to use a fourth card for removal, maybe you just had a tiny bit too much draw, given that your main attribute is playing aggressive minions and going face? :)
I know it's sad and I loved him too. It might be hard to think that he's not among us anymore but remember that Thrall was an old orc who could barely stand up during the last year. Sure! He had his good days. Remember when he broke standard completely with that undead dragon deck? Man was he scary that (one) day. But all good things must come to an end. We can't just force Blizzard to nerf us to pieces whenever it suits us. The body gets worn and used with time and we must meet our maker.
Ashes to outland dust to dust
I like this set. Really! But Demon Hunter already has waaaaaay too much draw and damage, why give him a full set of that again? Secret mage is already dangerous in wild, now it might join team broken with token Druid (tempo tempo tempo)
I think this would be an amazing expansion had DH just fucked off or at least not have 10x more draw and damage than every other class. You literally need a deck of just heal and taunt to survive it. His only weakness is no hard removal. But who needs that if you can just go face?
why cant we buy/open packs?!!
SHould be renamed to Madness at the DemonHunter Faire
I know that it would not belong on a page about Madness at the Darkmoon Faire. However, I believe that the last Old God Artifact, representing Yogg-Saron, isn't Oh My Yogg! but the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron and they just had no incentive to print another card like it.
Would be a lot easier to see it that way if real money wasn't involved in this game.
Interesting you should mention chess and that its a skilled game. Sure there is no RNG but just because RNG exist in HS does not mean HS is devoid of skill, cause if that was the case anyone could gain rank 1 right? Or at least if it was RNG that decided who won whoever hit the top-lists would fluctuate way more.
This is not the case and theres a very good reason for that.
Coming back to chess:
To an amateur it may seem that chess is a game with near endless potential moves, and when you learn that to become a high level chess player you need to eventually learn all the moves and chain moves; that if I move piece A to spot B I also need to be aware of the chain-reaction of that move.
That stuff can be quite intimidating, and if you are an amateur you could even attribute those moves to luck or like you said RNG. "Hah Bob.. you were lucky to see that my king was compromised and get CM on me) Well.. you only need a modicum of knowledge of chess to understand that it leaves nothing up to chance.
So AI and algorithms aside. Although it may seem that every move is random and chain-reaction is out of your hands. Its like with chess, that when you realize the potential moves (or draws) and developments are finite. That you can start to map how many potential developments there are, and to plan the ideal move to set up a win.
Im not a good hearthstone player, but I would imagine if you asked a pro, they would agree to my assesment.
That aside I agree with you that having a more casual attitude may very likely make the experience more enjoyable. Afterall we play the game (hopefully) first and foremost to have fun. Whatever else comes is just a bonus.
Most of warrior's cards are boring as usual except Minefield, that looks fun.
It's Dyn-o-matic's effect but with no 3/4 body, where would you put this on your deck?
Honestly this is the most disappointing set imo. The corrupt mechanic is not very appealing, there isn't anything new to explore and already existing decks that were popular in the meta got buffed. Odd Paladin and Secret Mage made out like a bandit (as if they already needed more) and DH is now more disgusting with Il'gynoth and for the 3rd expansion in a row Shaman gets nothing exciting or better cards. Honestly the only thing I look forward to is playing with new Yogg and that's it.
R.I.P. SHAMAN AGAIN?
