My answer,

An average card.  I think the most important thing about this Mage minion is not really the "Freeze" ability it has, but the "Mech" tag instead.  It's another relevant two drop to put in a Mech oriented deck, and who knows just how many other good 2 drop Mechs the GvG expansion will introduce.

(Oh and the art is pretty cool. What a funny lookin' guy!)

the health it has puts it directly on par with water elemental though. and it has more attack per mana than water elemental anyways. being that its a mech, its more useful in the gvg meta than water ele

To answer the question in your last sentence: yes

I am impressed that each card Blizzard reveals gets progressively more annoying than the previous one.

This + Water Elemental + Frost Elemental = A deck that doesn't let the opponent attack. Warriors will love it.
