Mistermath's Card Ratings for Voyage to the Sunken City:
6/10
Unsurprisingly, Illuminate turns out to be a thoroughly "meh" card in the current meta. Even in Switcheroo Priest, where this card was theoretically good because it let you dig for the namesake card and also reduce its cost, its winrate was middle-of-the-pack. It turns out that a 0 mana card that does nothing for a turn is just really, really slow, even if it seems to compare favorably to stuff like Far Sight. This card would also be amazing in miracle priest, if only that deck existed. The card definitely has potential for the future, don't get me wrong, and I still hope miracle priest will work, but it's really just not as good as people thought. If you're still not convinced, what if I noted that this is just a slower, less reliable pre-nerf Preparation, since the "card selection" comes at the cost of not being able to reduce the cost of cards already in your hand?
Hell yes! And my fav Lyra the Sunshard is back in standard! Illuminate!
Wait I don't play wild but this sounds disgusting in big priest doesn't it?
Even though its not a draw, theres enough miracle draw combos still in priest to make this viable
Nutty. Tutoring and discount for zero mana, sign me up!
This is gonna be auto-include in every priest deck for a very looooong time.
Oh so just 3 free mana. Thanks for more disgusting discount.
