Drek’Thar OP in Barnabus Druid
I just shadow stepped drek'thar w rogue on turn 6 (lots of minions left in deck), and on the second throw he didn't pull anything else out of the deck. The text doesn't read like it will only trigger once.
Shadowstep would've reduced his cost to 2.
Not realy depends what 1-3 drops u have in the deck cause he must be the highest Minion in Ur deck thou
Works Best on priest atm
This is gonna be crazy good especially in aggro decks summoning 12/12 stats on turn 3/4 is game ending
ZERO threat for enemy so far - rly depends on what 3 drops will release with new expansion
I dunno, on turn 1 it can make some magic happen. https://imgur.com/Mr6OSD0
Maybe not every game, but... still!
Aggro druid in wild doesnt play anything that costs more than 3, and the battlecry works well with Embiggen.
Its a: "mehh" for me.
So Drek'thar in Warcraft Lore was the Blind Shaman leader of the Frostwolves that trained Thrall, in Hearthstone he is a Call to Arms in Flamewaker APM Mage instead of a Shaman card because...reasons...???
I wonder if you can put two faction leaders in same deck. And if you play Vanndar first, does it mean Drek'thar can summon 5 or 6 mana cost minions? (Assuming you only put 5-6 mana cost minions except leaders & have both leaders on hand)
This is a legendary, but Occult Conjurer is an epic.
This seems awful. It doesn't even summon a copy!
Have to disagree. If you built your deck properly, this is like Call to Arms, but can hit 3 drops. Crazy strong and a staple in future aggro decks.
But most aggro decks don't top out the creature curve at 3. That's a big limitation. You're gonna play Hunter with no Rhino? And it's not like it's going to hit two 3s, given your deck has likely a preponderance of 1s and 2s.
I don't think the decks will stay the same. There will be buildaround decks for this card for at least a couple of classes. Let's just wait if there is more support for it. In Wild, it perfectly fits into aggro druid, for example.
But aggro decks can't purely build around a one-of given how few cards they actually draw in a normal game. We saw this in the inconsistencies of Keleseth. And that only limited you to not using any other 2 mana cards, not ANY minion 4 cost and up.
It worked very well with Keleseth so I am sure this will be good. I think that way more of a downside to aggressive decks.
It worked with Keleseth because leaving a 2 mana hole in your deck works just fine because all hero powers costed 2 mana. The deck limitation is minor. It's crippling here.
No existing aggro deck is helped by this card, and none of them could afford to cut 4+ mana cards and remain effective. Not Hunter, not Druid, and not Shaman. If you don't draw this, you run out of cards on turn 5 and you're done.
