Best weapon
An earlier Cutting Class and better Steeldancer?
Where were cards like this when warrior's weapon quest was created?
That quest got ZERO support.
There was some interview where it was revealed that Patches the Pirate was in development during the first "Goblins vs Gnomes" set, but it was pulled because they thought it combined with One-Eyed Cheat was unfair (and instead OEC was just useless). So yes, you can expect cards to have been around for easily 2-3 years before you see it.
It sucks if you don't trade it, but it's really good if you can draw it back.
Corsair Cache exists so 4 mana 5/2 is still pretty bonkers. And if you draw it first, trade it and tutor with Corsair Cache, it's 4 mana 5/4. Opponents must run removal or they're dead.
Although rarely, it provides 4 damage forever in fatigue matchups is also gamewinning.
With Corsair Cache it's a 6 mana 5/2
5 dmg for 4 is decent for the finishing turn. IF you manage to redraw it, you have a fuck ton of damage in one card
This is what Warrior need with the Quest Weapon Rotation to finish the Opponent. Seems very good.
even 1 redraw is well worth it. But it might be a bit too smorc focused for the nuanced variants of pirates we have these days
Warrior has so much weapon tutoring. This is also probably the best aggro weapon warrior has.
It's really terrible if you actually want a weapon the first time you draw it. Then again, Warrior has so much weapon draw these days that it's pretty easy to find again for a second or third time.
With corsair cache it's pretty busted. Trade and draw with corsair for 4 mana 5/4 seems game-winning.
Seems pretty solid
