The flexiblity and mind games of this card are quite good. However, a 2/6 statline is just poor, especially if it's going up against an aggro deck; on top of that, it's not difficult to bait and test for the counter much as you would an actual Counterspell. Note that, of course, any deck with 6 power on board can just trade into this as if it is a Stegodon.

I love this card in Even Shaman 

Does not prevent weapons.

I assume Secrets and Sigils still activate even with him on the board

I think they need to remove the part where it shows what you choose. I've easily played around this card because I know if they pick left it's spell and right it's minion from my pov. I know you still have to play around it, but this would make it even better.

After playing around with the card. It seems easy enough to bait out with a cheap minion or spell. So I guess it’s a good stall card?

In wild when you scheme him esp when you dragon hoard a creature that fetches you the character that adds a solar and lunar eclipse to your hand. That put 16 Okani in my deck. Candle breathed to draw into a few more and plus I had Tenwu in hand and Scabbs as hero which allowed me to play three in one turn. It was late game and the opponent had no cards left. I set Okani to counter a minion once and a spell twice. I hit all three and they resigned immediately after that. I play mostly wild so not sure it will be in standard but in wild it’s an absolute beast. Can anybody say late game lockdown? I mean if you have Brann in play it just gets nutty! 

Like it. Playing it currently and the hesitation on the other side alone would be worth it. But that it countered some heavy stuff is great, too.

Can someone clarify how this works?
If you play this, and your opponent clears it on board, BEFORE he even plays a spell or minion (cause he has minions left over to trade), then the effect wont go of?

The cards text seems to indicate my assumption, but the German (which I am) translation of the card is kinda confusing cause of specific sentence construction/punctuation and could be misleading...

Yes. If Okani is killed before a minion or spell is played, then said spell/minion is not countered and is played normally. Of course, your opponent will still have to waste resources to remove Okani to prevent the counter so you'll still get very nice value even if his effect doesn't go off.

I like it. Giving every class some kind of counterspell would be great alone but it working on minions too makes this even better.

Wow........a selective counterspell? Nice. How exactly do you counter a minion though. Easy to shut down a Kazakusan turn.

A countered minion just disappears. Isn't played, it's battlecry never goes off, and it's not counted as killed so it cannot be revived. It's just, gone.
