I honestly think this card is technically above average, as the stats are just better than other silence minions (use pre-nerf 2 mana Ironbeak Owl or Spellbreaker for reference). Silencing all minions is also a stronger effect than just silencing one, as it is more usable with synergies in silence priest/handlock, as well as just more useful as a tech card in general.

Rip paladin class. Just  dust all your cards.

Royal Librarian is probably better in most cases. This counters freeze effects though. If those decks become really popular you can cheese wins with this.

That's what I thought!

I actually started out creating my first Silence-Priest decks back at Naxxramas with Wailing Soul.

Now getting a card that basically combines that battlecry with Mass Dispel - and that for 3 Mana - might make those kind of decks more viable. If we now also get another decent 2-drop with stats like Ancient Watcher that'll be awesome.

(I know it's just a meme-archetype, but I think it's really fun to play!!!!)

Don't be shy about "meme" decks, just play because you like. I agree, even on ranked, i usually play with my own decks. And get rank 5 diamond with those. It's so good to beat those meta decks with fun and original decks!
