Red mana wirm + Small-time bucaneer for rogues and Counterfeit Coin :)
Rogue main here. And rogue looks sweet this expansion. I know that we'll be forced to play miracle and... malygos rogue all over again but there are some great cards. Small-time bucanner is insane against shamans. Red mana wirm gives you otk potencial with conceal for example. Rogue can beat priests. And that's it.
Yes, we all know that we wanted new archetypes. Yes, we all miss oil rogue, fellow rogue mains. Yes, blizzard just gave us TOOLS FOR ALREADY EXISTANT DECKS, instead of pushing new ones, what's definetly boring.
But rogues will be at least tier two. Paladins are tucked btw. But anythin will be decent.
Idk about Warlocks tho, but there might be an new archetype, or just reinforcements for reno, what's cool.
So don't be pissed. Rogues as a class is already strong and will continue to.
If you don't agree with me, just reply, there's no need to downvote. If you wanna contact me:

Btw, fuck you Blizzard for giving us a freaking MAGMA RAGER WITH STEALTH AND A WORSE UNDERCITY HOOKSTER AND A WORSE YOUTHFULL BREWMASTER. But it's ok, it's alright. We got bucanner for early pressure and a worst innervate kind-of effect. But idk how i feel after Tomb Pillager gets out of standard. That's the card that got miracle and malygos rogue to what they are today: decent and viable decks that will continue to be decent if aggro/midrange decks don't control most of the meta. Sally cold be used also as AOE for rogues with cold blood and stuff.
Appreciated the humor. Rogue will be tier 4. Sally is inplayable in Rogue because of 3 cards required for activation.
The only thing that will tuck rogue are the decks that will try to counter jade druid. Faster decks, like face pirate warrior and stuff. But with bucanner you could out-tempo them. But that all depends on the luck.
I don't think that sally is that good. But man. Rogue has alwyas had no reliable aoe agaisnt some decks. Sally is one of them. But a 4 mana flamestrike shouldn't be undervalued. Great against jade druids decks and could be acelerated against more aggro-ish deck with Counterfeit Coin, if needed. Rogues could just out-tempo druids, like they can do today, but more easily because of the cards provided.
So, they will at least be tier 2. You might not have played rogue for a long time to say that they will be tier 4.
Yes, no healing against those aggro decks will suck. But you'll be able to still win with the right hand (or not...).
3-card combo is an absolutely unreliable aoe, Rogues will not play it. And which new rogue cards will help her to out-tempo druid?
Rogue as a class out-tempoes druid.
what 3 cards? All you need is Sally and Cold Blood for a a 4 mana 5 damage AoE?
+Backstab (Evis/ShadowStrike) of course
So what if your opponent can blow it up one turn early, its a 5 damage AoE that he can't avoid and he can only trade 1 minion first, due to the 1 health!
I think blizzard wants to make seasonal metas to change the current decks more frequently, even tough they won't really rotate out. They tried it with WotoG and got it somehow but they failed with Karazhan. Now they are trying to make this gang thing great but I think it is only viable until the rotation happens. If they manage to somehow change the decks people use after each expansion, I will be very happy. Can't really see another "1 year of a certain deck" meta anymore >< (see 1 year of secret paladin, 1 year of shaman, 1 year of huntertaker etc.)
And then until another new.
RIP -> NON_MIRACLE/MALYGOS <- Rogues.
It sucks that Rogue is limited to only 1.5 good deck types but don't go around pretending the class as a whole will suck.
With the Coin, Red Mana Wyrm and Small time Buccaneer, and the apparent ultra-control Jade Druid meta we might face, combo decks are where it is at!
ahem Piranha Launcher is a weapon too so 3
I have no idea how to feel about this expansion
FeelsRogueRagerMan
someone know when we can pre-order it?
Not only did they limit the pre-order to Battle.net purchase only, cutting out those of us with Amazon coins, they also made sure to jank the value by not including a unique card-back. This expansion had some of the worst hype going into and coming out of the pre-release phase. As Donald Trump would say, "Sad!"
IN conclusion:
Rogue got shafted hard (again) while the most insulting part about it is..they refused to give them any good tools for miracle Rogue while simultaneously also failing to bring in a new archetype (stealth is never going to work because the core of the mechanic is weaker minions who have the beenfit of not being targetable....which is invalidate dby the fact that rogue has a 1 mana spell that can do that to ANY minion which makes any other stealth minion completely obsolete)
Druid is still druid and will always be druid...and he has Jade golems now
Shaman didn't get anything to improve his current decks but will probably still find a way to becoem even more broken than he already is
Paladin dind't get any help with its control archetype which tellls me this is as good as it gets. They got a whole lot of tool s for a previously slightly too weak
Mage is probably the most balancced and versatile out of all the classes. Reno Mage became a lot more legit, plus a lot of fun tools that encourage experimenting with previously unused archetypes. Personally it's probably the class i look forward to playing most
Priest got the SHaman treatment and got completely overbuffed in every possible aspect....but it's still Priest so there's still a lot of things that can preventit from actually being useful. However, both Reno Priest and Dragon Priest got huge buffs which will at least make them better than they are now
Warrior finally has its Taunt aspect fleshed out. If Taunt warrior isn't at least somewhat viable now then it never will be. Also Midrange Goons Warrior looks promising
Hunter did get a bunch of powerful minions, ost of all Ratpack. They also finally have a solid allround legendary that you don't need to build entire decks around (I love HUhuran but it takes so much to make her work). N'zoth Hunter is better now, Midrange HUnter is better and Face Hunter didn't actually get any particular powerful tools (apart from aforementioned legendary)
Warlock got both good and terrible cards. More demons for more demon fun and a bit more tools for control. Legendary is probably a whiff but at least it enforces the demon playstyle. thankfully, Zoo didn't get any unnecessary buffs this time.
Neutral cards also feature a bunch of interesting options for different classes (with the usual filler cards inbetween)
In other words: If you're not a Rogue main then thee expansion is acceptable. If you lov Reno mage you'll love it even more, if you like ever version of Hunter exccept FAce HUnter same thing applies. Shaman players get more tools to experiment with which is the only redeemable aspect of the lass at this point. Priest players are probably still busy ejaculating glitter while simultaneously shitting their pants, and everyone else is probably just: "let's see what we can do with this"
P.S.: if Blizzard sent an email to everyone who has a golden Rogue which includes nothing but a soundfile of Ben Brode's laugh and a picture of the whole design team collectively taking a dump on a portrait of Valeera....I wouldn't even be surprised. All you Rogues out there have my sympathies
Totally agree. Spirit Claws and Rallying Blade are great! Heck, even Fool's Bane turned to be great in control decks along with Violet Illusionist! Without nerfed Blade Flurry they would have been too OP!
...
Wait, were you talking about rogue weapon? Hm... eh... we forgot to design one. But we've put Shadow Rager as a class card into rogue MSoG set as an apology!
Where the fuck is karakus dragon form?! Did blizzard just fucking trolled us?
