what a nice golden animation wasted on such an atrocious card
So they made Flamestrike spawn 50% less in Arena and this card remains the same? Every Warlock deck has atleast 2 of these and since everyone is playing Warlocks in Arena nowdays, is there even the point on playing high mana minions/synergy minions in arena? Wouldn't it be better if we just rolled Zoo Style? Oh wait no it wouldn't since Warlocks have another great answer Abysall Enforcer. So much fun to play against one Warlock deck 156 times in Arena. Good job Blizzard. No please give Warlock more op cards, they are just most commonly picked class in arena. I wonder why?
Oh look i've entered another arena and guess what it's another gosh darn Warlock. It's like 7th in a row. So fun. Arena is dynamic and unpredictable isn't it?
I've just offically wasted 300 gold to play against Warlocks. Hey does anyone wanna send me a friend request so we can 1vs1? He can play a Warlock it's cheaper than to enter the arena.
This was in dark ages of MSoG. Don't judge.
so fucking op. should COST 5.
4 mana full removal WAY TOO OP.
fucking nerf this..
It's fine as it is really. Polymorph is 4 mana and leaves a 1/1 on board. Destroying one of your own mana crystals is most of the times worse than that.
NO ITS NOT! this is used for big threats and HIGH MANA COST MINIONS! At that point of the game destroying your mana crystal does not matter. Therefore its free 4 mana removal. Way too OP!
it should be (destroy 2 of your mana crystals)
fkn nerf this OP card already..
This is one of two Warlock cards that destroy one of your own mana crystals. However, unlike Felguard, Blastcrystal Potion is not only playable, but an excellent card. The reasons for this are; a. hard removal is usually significantly more powerful than a 3/5 Taunt Demon, and b. Blastcrystal Potion is not only usable in the mid-game, but gets that much more powerful once you've reached 10 mana, since there is then effectively no drawback, and it can still remove any single threat that your opponent plays, (aside from Soggoth), as well as combo with Sylvanas to steal one. In contrast; Felguard becomes less and less relevant as the game goes on, and obviously, a Sen'jin for 1 less mana is not worth sacrificing a mana crystal for, even on turn 3.
TL;DR: Blastcrystal Potion is an excellent card, and well worth using.
I think it would be interesting in future expansions if destruction of your own mana crystals for powerful effects could be its own warlock archetype. Maybe release a 10/10 "Crystal Giant" or something that gets cheaper for every mana crystal destroyed during the game.
Agree with others, very good spot removal in Reno/Handlock which are generally in need of such stuff to react to threats.
Together with Kazakus, Felfire Potion, Abyssal Enforcer (and maybe I'm forgetting some others), Reno/Handlock has received very nice tools in this expansion.
This card is insane, playing 2 copies of it in my dragon handlock already.
I have bad experiences with telling that I like the golden art, because the people often downvote those comments due to the spam.
But I must say - this one really has a nice golden art, and it's a huge improvement over the normal one. The normal one is unclear and hard to understand, the red color is ugly and pale, and the lightnings don't look that nice imo. The golden version however- the added yellow is excellent work, as well as the way those lightnings were animated.
The golden animation is beautiful
I'm ganna be pissed off when I pack this card 4 times or more.
I don't think most warlock archetype is in a rush to ramp anyway.
So could either be a cheap removal for those clutch moments or could wait for turn 10 where it does not matter (unless you use both at the same turn).
Time to finally give that Cho'gall I opened a go it seems
if you will gonna use Cho'gall in that case you better use Siphon Soul because Cho'gall will gonna die next turn , still it work in control deck even if it will destroy 1 mana crystal and work well too in late game
