Do we know of any mage decks running lots of big minions? Certainly there are giant decks, but do those even use freezing effects (are they still even around)? Even if the battlecry goes untriggered on turn 5, it's still probably okay in those decks, but why not just run more consistent giants/threats?
Rather interesting for the arena, since it means picking a bad freezing card is not as punishing to your deck. The on curve synergy with Water Elemental is phenomenal, but rare. The combo with Frostbolt is still fair as a turn 7 7/7. Having the other freeze cards (Frost Nova, Freezing Potion, Ice Lance, (RIP) Snowchugger) can at least salvage some value in the extra +2/+2. Does not combo with Blizzard or Frost Elemental.
I think Cryomancer is good. I wouldn't go as far as to say amazing, I'm not even sure I'd say 'very good' but it's solid. That being said, I'm still not sure it will see much constructed play.

I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.
Interesting much try this out
I really dont know... Maybe in Reno or secret mage?
The art is so good!
this is not good
for muh Freezing Potion
Very meh
Why am I sticky?
Huh. That's a tough condition to meet with 5 mana. I'm not sure what kind of deck you'd play this card in.
Tempo Mage already has access to an 8/8 they don't play (Arcane Giant) so a conditional 7/7 for 5 mana seems not like a thing you'd play there.
Freeze doesn't want the minion. People tried Tempo Freeze for a while and it was just plain bad, I'm not sure this buffs it.
Reno already has access to an 8/8 about when you'd be able to play this..
I don't think it's good enough. Mage can already get an Arcane Giant approximately when you'd be likely to play this (between turn 7-10 or later.)
Kind of a cool card, though. Maybe some people will give Freeze Tempo a try again; it's the deck most able to get this card out on turn 5 or 6.
Nice one, every mage deck runs at least one freeze spell so it's good.
5 mana 7/7: the Meme!
Still not enough to make Freeze (non-combo) mage a thing, IMO.
I hate all 7/7 minions, why they become a meme? lol
Total garbage. Why do they print such irrelevant class cards? It's mind boggling.

good at arena very bad at constructed that is all. Water Elemental at turn 4 and this at turn 5 in arena is very good.
Too hard to pull off. This would need to have like a 75% consistency to be worth it, and that's not happening.
2/2 is not enough, you don't freeze that much turn 4
3 mana gain 3/3 for 4/4 would be nice
This card is amazing. Play a water elemental on turn 4 and almost certainly something will be frozen on turn 5.

Tempo tempo tempo
I dunno, seems like tempo-freeze might have enough tools at this point to get the job done.
There's still the problem that it requires combos to kill stuff most of the time. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
