Yeah, shaman maly is also going to be cool, elemental destruction can be substituted with volcano, far sight isn't that much needed, only hex remains as a painful thing to throw out.
I love how people think this will be amazing in combo decks when the best combo class in Standard is mage, and if you play this you can't play iceblocks without drastically decreasing the chance you actually pull off the combo.
I'm curious how this will work with shadowstep if you make a 3 Mana 3/3 Leeroy
Possible old school miracle rogue?
You'll probably get a regular leeroy in your hand i think. This is definitely a great wild card for maly rogue, thaurisan + taldaram, conceal, and next turn you can drop maly and shit in their mouth with 7 mana maly and 0 mana evis/shuriken/petals/sinister strike
Don't even need wild really. Maly -> Conceal, next turn faceless > Taldram then all the spells
The wording is perfectly fine. Cards like this have never had to specify that they target a minion on the board, and if it was random it would say so. Absolute tool. I'd like to see you make your own over-specific version, you won't be able to fit all the words on the card.
"transform into a 3/3 copy of a minion", you have to be so thick not to understand that simple line of text.
Faceless manipulator does it properly. The wording of taldaram is crap and you need to be pretty thick to not realize that. But I guess vague wording is good enough for casuals.
Probably better in deathrattle decks. The upside to this card over faceless is the mana cost (you can 6-drop + Prince, but not 6-drop + Faceless). You're probably running more 1 and 2-drops if you're running this in a deck, to make up for the lack of 3-drops. I do think this card is better than you guys think.
Or idk, fuck hearthstone, amirite? whatever.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Even though it's impossible to judge the power of this card without seeing the rest of the expansion, I'll try to evaluate it in existing decks anyway.
Druid:Feral Rage gets the cut, which is not too crippling. Giant Anaconda is the only thing really worth copying here. Aya Blackpaw is also okay, but you wouldn't want to cut Jade Blossom in order to run this mediocre combo. In wild Mounted Raptor is a no-no. Copying a Nerubian Egg in egg druid is great, but this means you aren't playing Savage Roar. You could play it on the same turn as Malorne if you're feeling meme-y. This card has some late-game combo potential in other classes (Acting as a cheap Faceless Manipulator) but in druid, these almost always revolve around Aviana and Kun the Forgotten King, in which a Faceless Manipulator would be better anyway because they all cost 1 mana.
Mage:Pyros is an excellent target. This can also be played on the same turn as Archmage Antonidas, but unless you have a bunch of 0-mana spells, you would probably end up with more fireballs if you had just stuck with Antonidas alone. Often if you get an Antonidas out, you win the game anyway. Now we get into what would have to be cut. All secrets are out the window. Ice Block,Ice Barrier, Counterspell, Duplicate, Mirror Entity. I've heard people say you could fetch them out of your deck with Arcanologist, which I think is a fair statement, but as stated before, the payoff is very undewhelming. Forgotten Torch, Flamewaker, Arcane IntellectVolcanic Potion and Kirin Tor Mage also get the boot.
It's not looking great for Prince Taldaram in ladder, but I think he could be a pretty fun card in some gimmicky decks or N'Zoth, the Corruptor builds. I'm looking forward to seeing if he will get some additional support, or if there are some card to replace the crucial 3-drops we have now.
Combo with the new Hemet maybe? This is clearly a late-game card so you can use 3 drops, drop Hemet on turn 6+ and voila
God damn every revealed card started to get related with new hemet. But in reality Hemet is a heavy control card you destroy chance to draw all non effective cards in the late game but that card is not well with heart stone play style because every god damn turn is so important
Yeah, shaman maly is also going to be cool, elemental destruction can be substituted with volcano, far sight isn't that much needed, only hex remains as a painful thing to throw out.
I am ready to experiment with some Malygos shenanigans.

Well i play Wild only, so it's only brawl, nether, volcano or kazakus sheep stuff.

Not playing 3 drops for a punny faceless with 2 mana discount? no thx.

There's some decent targets in Hunter (Kindly Grandmother, Scavenging Hyena, Savannah Highmane) But there is no way in heck that you would cut Kill Command, Eaglehorn Bow, Animal Companion, and Rat Pack, and Unleash the Hounds in order to do this.
Mage: Pyros is an excellent target. Forgotten Torch, Flamewaker, Arcane Intellect Volcanic Potion and Kirin Tor Mage also get the boot.
Paladin: Wickerflame Burnbristle is pretty good, but you'd have to draw him to use Prince Taldaram on anything. Using this on a minion that has been buffed by Spikeridged Steed is nice. Tirion Fordring and Ragnaros, Lightlord are obviously great, but this requires either cost reduction or for them to survive your opponent's turn. Building Paladin decks without Stonehill Defender, Aldor Peacekeeper, Divine Favor, or Murloc Warleader is borderline Madness. (Muster for Battle in wild.) Not a card for Paladin.
Priest: I initially thought that this could have some use in Awaken the Makers Priest, until I realized that Mirage Caller is better in almost every situation. You don't have to cut Curious Glimmerroot, Kabal Talonpriest, or Mirage Caller. (Dark Cultist and Velen's Chosen in wild.) Good targets include Crystalline Oracle, Radiant Elemental, Shifting Shade, Lyra the Sunshard, Prophet Velen, and Confessor Paletress. But once again, why not use Mirage Caller instead?
Rogue: Good targets include Jade Swarmer, Undercity Huckster, Aya Blackpaw and maybe Xaril, Poisoned Mind and Tomb Pillager. (Anub'arak for fun.) You'd have to cut Edwin VanCleef, Mimic Pod, Shadow Strike, Shaku, the Collector, Fan of Knives, SI:7 Agent and that "give a minion poisonous" guy that I can't remember. Obviously not a card for miracle, but I'd say that Prince Taldaram has some potential in Jade Rogue, as none of these previous cards are cruical to the deck. We'll have to see what support rogue will get in the upcoming cards.
Onward to Shaman. Okay Flametongue Totem, Primalfin Totem, White Eyes, Hallazeal the Ascended, Aya Blackpaw, and Al'Akir the Windlord. (Wicked Witchdoctor, and Thunder Bluff Valiant would be a stretch.) None of these are particularly mind-blowing. This would require cutting most importantly Hex and Lightning Storm, but also Elemental Destruction, Healing Wave, Hot Spring Guardian, Mana Tide Totem, and Spirit Echo. Don't see it working here.
Warlock: Malchezaar's Imp, Darkshire Librarian, Dreadsteed, Cruel Dinomancer, Kabal Trafficker and Mal'Ganis. This is worthless for the Power Overwhelming Leeroy Jenkins combo because the stats are set to 3. You'd have to cut Darkshire Councilman, Silverware Golem, and Shadow Bolt. (Demonwrath, Imp Gang Boss in wild.)
Warrior: Good on, well, not much. Grimy Gadgeteer and Alley Armorsmith, Direhorn Hatchling, and Grommash Hellscream come to mind, but there are all extremely lackluster. This requires cutting Shield Block, Ravaging Ghoul, Frothing Berserker, and Bash and Fierce Monkey in wild. (Bloodsail Cultist too, but Taldaram is obviously not for Pirates.)
Neutrals: Excellent Targets:
Decent Targets:
Finja, the Flying Star (rip Murloc Warleader)These all come at the expense of:

Being able to one turn trigger Blood of the ancient one is pretty good (for druid with innervate t10).
You guys have very little faith in the devs. You really think they made a "shit" card legendary for no reason?
Play it as a vanilla 3/3/3 with sweet art. Or copy your opponents good cards.
