This card is really really strong with decks that can temporarily buff minions, such as Shaman. Removing my silent shocks for Egg increased it's power level by a ton.
This card should not exist. It counters Area of Effect spells so well because it has such a strong deathrattle and dies so easily, and also wombo combos with attack boosters (Abusive Sergeant, Dark Iron Dwarf, Flametongue Totem) and taunt givers (Sunfury Protector, Defender of Argus) which are already better than the vanilla minions of their tier. Its only real counter is silence.
You can lots of value out of it, play it in a Zoo deck and drop down 2 of them. Your opponent wants to AoE? Thanks for 2 4/4s. Or else, put an attack buff, run it into a minion, and get a 4/4 back, way too good.
Without some way to sacrifice it yes its a little over-hyped. Its gonna involve some setup because why would your opponent destroy it? You'd have to be willing to use a card effect on it yourself or have some good things on the board to make them do a clear to really use it.
I'm aware of that. What I'm asking is, for instance, will the Nerubian increase the damage on Kill Command, or draw a card with Starving Buzzard when summoned.
Posterboy of wild.
This card will be buffed by the crone on karazhan heroic for some reason, she buffed mine with a blessing of kings and seal of champions
Haha!
goes really well with Power Overwhelming + Void Terror

These things are everywhere >_<
Just got the card and tested it, I can confirm that the 4/4 Nerub that spawns is an untyped Neutral card with no beast tag.
i was here searching for this info. Thanks.
Works really well with Crazed Alchemist
As long as this isn't silenced, it could be really strong.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who thinks that this cards is over-hyped.

Now that Webspinner is classified as a beast, is the 4/4 minion summoned by this card's deathrattle also a beast?

i really doubt it, in WoW nerubians are counted as undead, not beasts
Spiders are generally considered beasts in Warcraft. The card says to summon a "Nerubian" however which are always considered humanoid.
yes id like to know if the nerubian egg is also a beast
