My favorite rogue's legend. It's playable in all types of deck's.
Those wonderful toxins are insane in Tempo Rogue. Won me so many games I had no business winning <3
One of the coolest cards in the game
The first card, and currently the only card, to begin with the letter X. Long live the king.
My first golden legendary <3
got so many shitty legenedaries already >_< and this is another one
This card is incredible when comboed with Shadowstep, Bloodthistle Toxin, N'Zoth, and Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Just because you don't play or understand Rogue doesn't mean this card is bad, it only means you are uninformed.
i don't play much rogue cos it requres too many expensive cards to work
Well then say you dusted it because you don't play Rogue, not because the card is "shitty."
Crafted this guy with WotoG release but bit regret now. Violet Teacher is far superior in aggro meta in place of this card =( Hope it will get some love with control heavy meta. Surprising opponent with Leeroy Jenkins+random shadowstep toxin+Leeroy Jenkins+Cold Blood combo for 16 damage is so satisfying.
I opened this guy in one of my 13 Old Gods packs, and my friends were hyped because they thought he was gonna be really powerful, and he is, but... I never play Rogue. RIP
Turned out to be sort of marginal for rogue,as n'zoth rogue did not work out, and seems to be too slow for most miracle rogue decks (at least i don't see it being played).
Toxins
Bloodthistle Toxin: 1 Mana - Return a friendly minion to your hand. It costs (2) less.
Briarthorn Toxin: 1 Mana - Give a minion +3 Attack.
Fadeleaf Toxin: 1 Mana - Give a friendly minion Stealth until your next turn.
Firebloom Toxin: 1 Mana - Deal 2 damage.
Kingsblood Toxin: 1 Mana - Draw a card.
To me, the toxins don't seem to be worth putting Xaril into your deck.
Bloodthistle - Rogue already has that card, no point in having it as a toxin.
Briarthorn - This one is fairly good for its value.
Fadeleaf - This is decent at best. It has its purposes but its practical uses are limited.
Firebloom - Outvalued by plenty of other spells. I'll give it somewhere between bad and decent.
Kingsblood - Good value I suppose, but not worth having as a toxin.
Adding on to the average toxins, Xaril is a 4 mana 3/2. So why are rogues praising this?
It´s a good legendary for a rogue, the toxins are good and cheap spells to combo with Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
I simply love this card, its not meant to carry game by itself, but its more like a Bloodmage Thalnos, and his toxins are basically Rogue Spells, a third deadly poison or Cold Blood? Yes please!.
I was looking at this and got the idea of how op it be if it was inspire instead of battle cry and deathrattle or even replace hero power with create toxin card.
Actually inspire or replace hero power would be far too slow. Being a 3/2 with no immediate effect makes him a really shitty 4 drop, and having to hero power to get a toxin means you'd have to spend 3 mana to get 1 toxin into play. It'd be far too slow, and rogue's dagger is in general more useful than a random card.
This is the kind of card Rogues needed for a long time. What do Rouges specialize in? Combos. What helps with combos? Cheap spells. What does this card give you? Cheap spells.
Plus, the Toxins are basically better spare parts. I love this card and hope Blizzard makes more like this in the future.
