Hey all so while tempo storm does a good job informing everyone of the meta in standard I have been playing a lot of wild this season at high ranks and have basically figured out that there are 3 decks that are being played above everything else. At low ranks everyone is playing shaman (mostly face) so i would recommend teching in an answer to Doomhammer. However, It seems from rank 5 and above all I see is Zoolock, Secret Paladin, and Patron Tempo Warrior. Because of this I believe that Freeze mage is currently the strongest class at high ranks in wild. I think other people believe this as well as most decks have a teched in Eater of Secrets, or Kezan Mystic to deal with both the freeze mages and secret paladins instead of Harrison Jones which is seen in most decks until rank 6 or so. I know most people only have interest in standard right now but in my opinion wild is a lot more fun because there isnt a "right" or "best" 5 decks that have been optimized yet and everyone isnt just playing the exact same deck ranks 20 - legend. That being said in my opinion to reach legend in wild these are the best 11 decks from rank 5 and up:
Im interested in knowing if you have had similar experiences and thoughts on the current best decks in wild and at what ranks you are seeing collections of kinds of decks.
*The list above is the ranking for ranks 5 and above and are likely very different at lower ranks*
EDIT: I should have clarified that I am a North America player and the meta in the EU and Asia is likely very different as well.
ORIGINAL SNAPSHOT:
Tier 1:
1) Freeze mage (not the most played but the highest win rate)
2) Zoolock (easily most played)
3) Secret Paladin (2nd most played deck)
4) Tempo mage (beats the 2 most played decks on a regular basis)
5) Patron Warrior (Strongest warrior in wild)
Tier 2:
6) Midrange Hunter
7) Tempo / Pirate Warrior
Tier 3:
8) Control Priest
9) N'zoth Paladin (this deck is actually number 1 in my opinion until rank 7 or so as it destroys shamans 80+% of the time and they are flooding the low ranks)
10) Divine Shield Aggro Paladin
11) Face Shaman
Unplayed classes and decks:
The two classes I havent seen at all on ladder are druid and rouge, if you are trying to ladder with these classes in wild all power to you and good luck but i feel like you will struggle quite a bit unless you can come up with an innovative deck designed to beat the top tier decks.
SNAPSHOT 2:
EU Meta Snapshot
Tier 1
Midrange Hunter: The most played deck. A winratio against no-midrange hunter is about 80%
Zoo: Aggresive with high live minions, just freeze can win against those
Patron Warrior: So many OTK, no mass is loosen, taunts against aggro, just a top deck
Freeze Mage: Very good OTK, stop Zoo, even patron can be beaten, problems with control warriors, Flare and Eater of Secrets, also with Fatigue Warrior.
Tier 2
Tempo Mage: One of this mostly No-Brain decks, 70% win ratio
Control Tempo Warrior: More played in Standard, very good lategame
Secret Paladin: Everybody thoughts, this would be the best deck played in wild => No, Eater of Secrets and Flare makes this deck worse.
Tier 2 is evolving and will be evolving for longer. Now we can say: Secret Palla and Raptor Rogue are guarented solid decks, and will be here for longer.
Tier 3: Mill Rogue, Dragon Warlock, Midrange / Classic Priest, Face Shaman, Mech Mage, Egg Druid, Aggro Paladin, Face Shaman, Mech Rogue, Face Hunter, Mech Shaman
Youre welcome man, Honestly ive been surprised by how much more fun Wild is than standard. I think standard can reach this point but they are still sorting things out. It will get better when people get tired of playing face shaman.
Nice assessment. I've been treating wild like a new Casual mode.
Stomped on a secret paladin with my N'Zoth Paladin yesterday, very enjoyable to roll N'Zoth out to an instant concede.
For me anyway!
Patron Warrior also strong. I didn't play this back in the day but finding it good fun now.
Patron certainly is strong, Death's Bite is just OP. Some people are experimenting with a tempo patron warrior at high levels and it is surprisingly good with deaths bite in the deck if you like patron you should try this more aggressive version if you want something fun.
1) Freeze mage (not the most played but the highest win rate)
A glimpse of Wild's future perhaps? Fun.
Then again they said Ice Block was considered for a nerf already so perhaps it's only a matter of time on that one.
I think they will ultimately nerf it, from what ive seen theres no way in a few expansions it isnt really really broken that mages can beat lethal for 2 turns in a row. Either that or people will just actually run secret tech cards all the time and it wont be relevant.

Once Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem and Finley rotate out, it's hard to see face shaman being a thing in standard. Which means they'll migrate to Wild...
Pretty sure N'Zoth Priest should be tier one, it simply beats every other deck out there. Got me to Legend in around a day.
While Zoo and Secret Paladin and Freeze Mage certainly are strong, the only reason people seem to play them is that there aren't any other lists to netdeck. I'm certain decks that are refined specifically for Wild beat all of the easily.
While I can't comment with certainty about the tiers of decks for Wild, as I'm only rank 15 or something like that, but I will admit that it's a nice break from Standard. I mostly see Warrior, like, 5/10 games in wild, it's pretty crazy actually knowing that something, most likely death's bite, belongs in the museum ;)
I've been running both tempo mage and zoo lock, with mild success.
I actually had a great experience when I used unstable portal to get both faceless manipulator and Rhonin, an Ancestral Spirit [/card]from [card]Spellslinger, and a Duplicate. In total I had 15 Arcane Missiles, and a Yogg just waiting in my deck to be unleashed. Just things like that can make wild worth playing for a few hours a month.

I am actually enjoying wild as much as standard, I like having the most options. Well I agree that freeze mage seems tier 1 I have had lots of success with secret paladin.I also put in double consecration for mirror/zoo and have laddered from rank 19 to 5 in just a few days.
Does anybody know what is better(kezan or eater). I feel that while kezan is stronger vs hunter and mage it has little impact against paladin. I don't think i lost a game when a person who kezaned me. eater of secrets I feel while has worse stats I feel that a 2/4 is better against aggro decks since that attack dosen't really matter. Also it can destroy multiple secrets.

I dont doubt that, however no one is really playing it right now on the ladder and is not tier 1 in this wild "meta snapshot"

I think you are spot on with the strengths of the two cards but if you have to pick one I say use eater of secrets. Mostly because it beats all secrets in all classes period. Sure you dont steal it and possibly swing the game super hard but removing any secret recoups the value for this card and against secret paladin its the best. It also allows for lethal through both ice block and ice barrier for freeze mage essentially also dealing 8 damage to face the turn its played. Its easily at its worst against hunter but the fact that hunters play the largest variety of secrets between different decks means playing around them is hard and can cause misplays, so eater of secrets is worth it if only to prevent you from making a possible mistake and gain its a 2 mana gain in tempo.

I think a good solution to this is to not keep all of the classic cards standard. Meaning Blizz can make classic cards go in and out of rotation depending on season and on the active standard expansion. It's the only way to keep the meta dynamic and prevent classes/decks from being stagnant. Iceblock is a cool card with a unique effect. I would prefer it to rotate out them nerfing it to the ground. There's still a potential powercreep problem. Cards like Fireball, Sorcerrers Apprentice, Truesilver Champion, Aldor Peacekeeper, Fiery War Axe, Swipe etc will always stick around unless there are strictly better cards to replace them.
I enjoyed Wild much more than Standard this season, I thought it was more diverse. I climbed the ladder to rank 5 in 2 days with a Raptor Rogue deck I used pre-WOG, in which I basically added N'Zoth, and 2 x Deathlord for increased protection vs aggro. It's built to counter aggro shaman/zoolock/secret paladin, but it's really good vs control too. I haven't seen totally broken combos really, nothing close to C'thun in terms of boring design.

They might migrate to wild. In eternal formats for other card games, very very few standard decks ever migrate. The power level is such that the formerly standard decks are irrelevant there.

Warrior pretty strong all-round really.
I've been enjoying the tempo as well as the pirate versions in standard. I see there's a new hybrid posted on competitive he reddit so I'll add that to the list. I should really stick to one or two strong decks but I'm a sucker for variety.
Pretty sure N'Zoth Priest should be tier one, it simply beats every other deck out there. Got me to Legend in around a day.

I'm missing 120 wins for golden Priest. Do you recommend to play wild? Haven't played Wild yet.
Priest is in a bad spot in Standard.

N'Zoth Paladin: Very slow but then OP
Renolock: Slow, depend on drawing Reno
Tier 3:
Mech Mage: Aggresive, but also very easy to stop
Raptor Rogue / N'Zoth Rogue: Raptor: Stable Agressive deck, problems with card draw. N'Zoth: Control => Not really fast enough.
Divine Paladin: Very fast board, very easy board control against those.
Aggro Shaman: Too many AoEs played,
Miracle Rogue: Too slow!
Malygos Rogue: Slower than Miracle!

Special Thanks to ALEXISAKING for the new updated meta snapshot with data to support.
Tier 1: Midrange Hunter, Patron Warrior, N'Zoth Priest, Freeze Mage, Zoo, and Tempo Mage
In tier 1 we see big changes in the order of the decks. Also Tempo Mage is actually a well played deck, this is the reason why it end's Tier 1.
Tier 2: Secret Paladin, Murloc Paladin, Raptor Rogue, Dragon Priest, Renolock, Dragon Warrior, Control Warrior, N'Zoth Control Paladin, Midrange Paladin, Midrange Shaman
Tier 2 is evolving and will be evolving for longer. Now we can say: Secret Palla and Raptor Rogue are guarented solid decks, and will be here for longer.
