This is a decent card for constructed but absolutely overpowered in arena. Last time my opponent got this from a Tortollan Primalist and got a Flamestrike, Blizzard and another fucking Cabalist's Tome and completely wrecked me :..(

After more than two years playing Hearthstone, I still do not have Ice Blocks or Cabalist's Tome. Nine tries with this deck and I dont even make it to round 8.

"Always keep" probably isn't very good advice to F2P players or those with smaller collections. The dust is far more valuable than a shiny card that does nothing more than it's regular counterpart does.

However, cabalist's tome is not only better for spell synergy (violet teacher, sorcerer's apprentice, Yogg, etc), it gives more spells for even MORE synergy. Almost every mage running this card is playing Yogg/Grinder mage. Additionally, you CAN play both you know. Plus, technically Cabalist's can give duplicates of 1 spell, which, while less controlled, CAN be better than discover from conjurer. I long for the 3 pyroblast cabalist's tome.

This is why this card was undervalued pre-release of WOG...people forgot they can run both this and ethereal, it's not a either/or consideration.

You might run both in Reno/Control oriented mages but for Tempo mage with all the low cost spells and minions you have to choose either Tome or Etheral Conjurer. Azure Drake is auto include, which seems silly for a neutral card but there's no debate.

Etheral conjurer gives you one spell and board prescense

When you are a warrior who uses Nefarian and gets this and Counter-Spell to dodge lethal the next turn, only to tome 2 more tomes and another Counter-Spell to dodge lethal again, and then uses another tome to get Ice Block, just to top deck gorehowl to win. 10/10 would use again.

it's like using your last wish to wish for three more wishes!

I just finished an Arena match where my opponent drew another cabalist's tomb not just once or twice, but THREE TIMES. 

Any need for 2 of these? I just crafted one and then immediately opened one in a pack. >.>
