Apparently, a Quest triggering (not casting / starting a Quest) counts as casting a Spell and will trigger Pyromancer?

I was in a game against a Paladin who had the quest up (5/6 completed). He then put 1 Pyromancer and 1 Primalfin Champion on the board and cast something on the Primalfin Champion. Pyromancer is triggered, Quest is completed, and Pyromancer triggers a second time, killing both minions, he concedes.

combo with Equality or Hunter's Mark pretty good

i use him in my mill rogue deck and he helped a lot.Also i am trying him in my malygos deck for early cheap board clear against aggro decks.Pyro+backstab+coin can clear a whole hunter/zoo board for 2 mana

Its not just about comboing with a spell to kill something. If you can give him bonus health (and/or keep him healed), you have a constant source of enrage triggers, combos with spells like swipe or arcane blast, and can be great against Timmy decks that focus on the the x/7 sized minions.

People keep telling me that this is a great card, but I can't seem to make it work... Knife Juggler generally works better, even in control decks...

It's only really good in Priest, where you can combo it with cheap spells like Power Word: Shield and Light of the Naruu. In other decks is is outclassed by other 2-drops.

using a shadow madness on your opponents pyromancer will trigger its effect, as will summoning it through mind games

and i assume mind control too, but havent wasted 10 mana for a 3/1 before

this card works awsome with equality/hunters mark and other such effects. a great combo removal

Equality + Wild Pyro combo is OP.

Kills a turn 4 yeti with a frost bolt (3 damage) -> Pyro proc (1 damage) -> Ping (1 damage) and still preserves a 3/1 body on the board. Amazing card all around against zoo.

So you spent two cards, and 6 mana, to kill a single 4 mana card. That doesn't sound too good, even if you are left with a 3/1 body.

Fireball and bloodfen raptor accomplishes the same and leaves a better 3/2 body.
