Elekk jousting is AWESOME.
My experience with this card."Battlecry: Reveal a minion in each deck, draw Yogg-saron, Hopes End"
My opponents ALWAYS gets highmane when they use this card agaisnt me
I replaced the Haunted Creepers in my Midrange Hunter with these little elephants, (also took out hootyhoot for a second Hunter's Mark), and I've been extremely pleased with the results. King's Elekk draws consistently enough, (especially vs aggro), that it's easily the best Joust card in the game.
Thinking about it, this is not a strictly better Bloodfen Raptor because of the existence of Nerub'ar Weblord.
No I'm serious
And because it's limited to a single class.
I like King's Elekk in a mid range deck since even if you lose joust, you kind of get an idea what kind of decks your opponent has.
omg im playing it in midrange and just got my dr boom :P hahahahhahah
Easily one of the best beasts in the game. Its Joust effect; while not guaranteed, is amazing if you win. (Draw Savannah Highmane? Yes PLZ!)
Does any one know how to dust blood fen raptor?
Don't. Keep him as a Nerub'ar Weblord tech choice in Beast Hunter. Kappa
This one can cause a disaster to the balance of Hearthstone. Think of it as a battlecry that has about 40% chance to draw a card, guaranteed a minion, plus a glimpse into your foe's deck. While it's quite reasonable that the face Hunter cannot benefit from this card, it remains unknown how powerful a midrange Hunter can be with such boost in drawing power.
It's actually very weak. Why? Let me explain. So, in order for this card to draw, you must win the joust. This means that the card revealed in your deck must cost more than your opponents. Thus, it is more probable that the card you draw if you win will have a higher mana cost then you want (assuming you play this early game, when it is basically best). Not only that, but unless you play the card you drew immediately, your opponent knows that you have it in your hand. They will play around it, which puts you at a disadvantage.
"Plus a glimpse into your foe's deck"
Your opponent gets a glimpse into your deck too, you know. Other than that, I'm inclined to agree.
@KenV: If you pull a card, it'll probably be higher cost, but you are supposed to be mulliganing for early game anyway. If you get a good curve, an expensive card is a better draw to extend your ability to play on curve.
This is a slightly luck based, kind of filtered 3/2 for 2 maybe draw a card. In that sense you might even call it a 2 mana Gnomish Experimenter.
Not to mention - once the higher-mana card is in your hand, it means you're more likely to draw cards you can play on your next few turns when you really need them.
i'm going to say the obvious.
Bloodfen Raptor powercreep :) Okay more seriously since druids have power of the wild and now hunters will have this...there's no need for the raptors, unless you don't want to reveal your deck.
Not really, since Hero cards are supposed to be better than Common cards.
The problem is that the Beast tag is only relevant in Hunter or Druid. There is nothing this card has over King's Elekk (for Hunter), Druid of the Saber (for Druid), and Knife Juggler (for everyone else).
