i wonder if u activated this on a jade golem will count as a summon taking in consideration the text of ancestral spirit that literally says... resummon this minion

I'm not sure, but bouncing a golem back to your hand and playing it again doesn't count as summoning one so I don't think so.

I wonder if spells that give a minion Deathrattle (Ancestral Spirit, Soul of the Forest, Explorer's Hat) will cause a non Deathrattle minion to count as a Deathrattle minion for the purpose of N'zoth?

I don't think it would, only because when they do resummon the minion the deathrattle effect from Ancestral Spirit isn't their. Also, the minion technically isn't an initial deathrattle minion.

Unfortunately it's hoot hoot bait.  :(  Overload and 2 turns for a vanilla 7/8 isn't that great.

I think this combined with Reincarnation is going to be a truly hilarious mechanic.  I cannot wait to tinker with my crusher shaman and see how this card interacts with it.  Maybe throw a Cairne in there.

No, because then the returning minion would have that deathrattle (at least that's how I think it would work)
Also, it doesn't say "Deathrattle" on the card.

It does say "Deathrattle" now :P.

This is a standard deathrattle, and the updated text reflects that.

What happens if someone Mind Control's your minion with Ancestral Spirit attached?

No. Battlecry activates only on cast. So you could potentially Alarm-o-Bot into a Deathwing and still keep your hand/board.
