even shammy with The Runespear ...
List time boys, Going to break down all the legendaries you can get from this thing, I'm going to say that if you get atleast 6/6 (so 12 total) worth of stats or a relevant deathrattle, it's a good card. If it's a sometimes relevant Deathrattle, it'll be in the middle category, alongside 4/4-5/5 (8-10 total) worth of stats, and anything below is going to be bad. This is because a card like this obviously goes into a token deck and you aren't really ever going to get a lot of minions with that high of stats normally. Just a heads up, I'm not making a wild list because my god is this list already long enough.
The Good: Deathwing Alexstrasza, Baku the Mooneater, Nozdormu (unless your Lifecoach, then this ones really bad), Onyxia, Shudderwock, Ysera, Emeriss, Tyrantus, Cenarius, King Krush, King Mosh, Lord Jaraxxus (EREDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION) Geosculptor Yip(You even get to summon a 1/1 at the end of the turn, talk about value!), Grommash Hellscream, Gruul, Kalimos, Primal Lord, Kathrena Winterwisp(bonus points if you have a beast in your deck, which you probably don't), Marin the Fox, Sindragosa, Splintergraft, Tess Greymane, The Lich King, Tirion Fordring, Archmage Antonidas, Baron Geddon, Countess Ashmore, Prophet Velen, Swamp King Dred, Temporus, Cairne Bloodhoof (counting his deathrattle), Genn Greymane, Grumble, Worldshaker, Hemet, Jungle Hunter Illidan Stormrage, Mecha'thun and The Beast. (37/104, 35% of all the cards)
The Sometimes good: Master Oakheart, Ozruk, Hadronox Al'Akir the Windlord (This one really should be in "The Good" area, but I'm not going to try and convert abilities into stats, sue me), King Togwaggle Rotface (Could earn you more stats, but worst case scenario or whatever), Archbishop Benedictus Blackhowl Gunspire (I lied, I'm putting this one in here just because it might not do anything half the time, regardless of the 11 total stats), Lord Godfrey Glinda Crowskin, Hogger, Lady in White Moorabi, Rin, the First Disciple, Sunkeeper Tarim, The Black Knight, Toki, Time-Tinker, Bolvar, Fireblood Darius Crowley, Duskfallen Aviana, (honestly this is pretty bad and should be in the bad area, but stats > dying from your opponents free U.I), Elise the Trailblazer, Harrison Jones, Leeroy Jenkins, Lyra the Sunshard, Prince Liam, Houndmaster Shaw, (honestly really good just because all the legendaries can go and slaughter the rest of the board), Lilian Voss, Prince Valanar, Professor Putricide, Sherazin, Corpse Flower, King Mukla, Boommaster Flark, Zerek, Master Cloner, Dr. Morrigan, Whizbang the Wonderful, Subject 9 and Millhouse Manastorm. (38/104, 36% of all the cards)
The Bad: Dragoncaller Alanna, Azalina Soulthief Lynessa Sunsorrow Blood-Queen Lana'thel, Ixlid, Fungal Lord,Arfus, Spiritsinger Umbra, The Darkness (unless you go and play a darkness and get all three candles, awakening all the darknesses you have, would be pretty funny), The Glass Knight, The Voraxx, Edwin VanCleef, Face Collector, Prince Taldaram Sonya Shadowdancer, Tinkmaster Overspark,Zola the Gorgon, Archmage Arugal, Bloodmage Thalnos, Clutchmother Zavas, Lorewalker Cho, Nat Pagle, Prince Keleseth, Pyros, (not counting all the deathrattles) Stargazer Luna, Crystalsmith Kangor, Flobbidinous Floop,Myra Rotspring, Electra Stormsurge, Zilliax (Same fate as Al'Akir) and Chameleos. (29/104, 27% of all the cards)
Overall, I'm kind of surprised about the amount of good (according to my classifications) cards there is to get off of this. One important thing to note is that a lot of the "Sometimes good" cards are all pretty much good too, unless noted otherwise. For my personal opinion, I feel like this card is pretty good. It has a bunch of whiffs, but it can easily obliterate things in a good token deck. Wouldn't surprise me if an evolve shaman list pops up in standard again.
P.S. Not that I think any of you care about this, but this is also probably the best I've ever done in terms of listing cards without having to go back and fix half the list. Out of 104 cards, only 5 were spelt wrong. In adding the new cards, I mispelt 2 words. Please donate to my patreon so I can buy new eyes and brain to cure my nonexistent dyslexia. Thanks.
Edit:
Forgot the new legendaries, one second.Added them, yell at me in a reply or something when the last couple of ones come out so I can update the list if you want me to because chances are, I'm going to forget.Ixlid pyros and arugal are sometime good.
given that you'd also run Bloodlust in the deck I'd say the results are mostly positive. Might be a better card than I originally expected
My only issue with Ixlid and Arugal is that you just played a 7 mana spell and that for Ixlid, chances are you will play your minions beforehand and for Arugal, it's shaman and you probably have 3 mana left, not much card draw options. As for pyros, he's good a lot of the time but you have to invest more in him and I wanted to just keep things consistent in terms of stats. I should probably also say that many of the cards in every area should be taken with a grain of sand.
Bad is a relative to what it's being applied to. If your 1/1 totem becomes 3/3 Dragoncaller Alanna, that's not really that bad (not factoring the cost of the spell of course, hopefully it averages out into a statline of 3-4 other minions you have onboard). If you also happen to be holding Unstable Evolution to play on that Alanna, that's actually really good. It's hard to judge these in a vacuum.
I’m going to disagree with a lot of your ‘bad’ list. You’ll be using this with tokens, and transforming a 1/1 token into a 5/5 is not bad at all.
I'd say a 70% chance to upgrade every minion on your board is a pretty good one to take, especially if you do happen on a 3 or 4 minion board by turn 7. Not to mention, but even if you dropped it after 7, with Deathstalker or unstable evolution you could take underwhelming Legendaries with high costs and get another shot at something better, it's still definitely a good addition to an evolve deck.
Yeah mentioned somewhere that all the cards on the bad list are still not that bad, but I judged the entire thing based on the sole minions alone. Like sure turning your 1/1 tokens into a 3/3 or even a 2/2 is still pretty decent, it's just that it also could have transformed into a 12/12 or a 10/10. Thats why I went solely off of a creatures stats (also because it made it easier for me to just make the list).
or just use all the spark 1/1 with rush that shaman will have
So Shaman gets the worst Legendary Spell. FeelsBadMan
The fact that Shaman is able to stick some minions on the board and the fact that Hagatha the Witch can generate this spell makes this card pretty solid. Not OP. But not fair or bad either.
Yes but you're paying 3 cards for it and you need to put 2 horrible cards in your deck (wisps)
Let's not forget that you can draw your wisps without ever drawing your The Storm Bringer
Watch them all turn into Shifter Zerus.
too random, but meme is good. In midrange Sham - Thrall is better, i don't see a way for this, but, ye, more meme cards. But it's buffing Runespear a bit.
Also, really good card for arena when you drafted - Arcane Dynamo
Thank Goodness this isn't an even cost spell...that would have been a potential OP disaster
even if shaman comes out the gate with a strong aggro/midrange deck that could make use of this, I can't imagine many situations where this is better than Bloodlust. looks cool, probably won't end up stirring the pot too much.
Lynessa Sunsorrow, Chameleos, Prince Keleseth
