This is such a dumb card. I mean, it's great that hearthstone is trying new things but it is far, far too easy to win with this card in many decks. And you know what, instead of being amazing it ends up a hollow and unsatisfying victory for both the winner and the loser. Just google alternate win cards in magic the gathering and see what crazy win conditions they've though up there. And i don't meant to say that hearthstone is worse, it's just newer and diffirent due to being digital. But things like alternate win conditions have been tried before so they really should be done better now.
And by the way, the best way to counter this card/deck is the same as the best way to counter the hunter spell deck. Just spam fast spells and fast minions like a maniac. Is that really how you want to promote the game being? Forget combos, forget clever tactics, you need to just tempo like a madman because there's just so many cheap late game cards? Personally i like those clever card tactics the most, don't know about the rest of you.
you need to pull off a 10+ cost combo, and there's many ways to mess it up actually. Pretty much every class has a card that can counter the combo and there's even universal stuff like geist against you just concede because it's over when they're played lol.
Still this deck is almost dead at least with druid since all the 1 cost draw power is from K&C and that xp is out of standard on next release.
Can anyone recommend crafting this in the Rastakhan expansion for OTK Druid/Priest? I held back from crafting it on release because of all the techs against it. I've heard the Priest combo is still really consistent, but a bit of a meme at this point. But I also read that the Druid OTK is still doing really good. I'm just relatively low on resources, so I'm wanting to make a craft with some viability. Can't really afford a meme craft that I'll only play for a week or two, you know?
Yes, because Mecha'thun decks are soooooo easy to play just like Shudderwock. Ok but actually, this card is very different from Shudderwock and actually requires thinking, you cant just vomit your cards onto the board to make the combo work, you need to draw your whole deck, and empty your hand while holding onto specific combo cards.
Also im not sure why you think they failed, since there are several solid Mecha'thun decks.
To anyone actually complaining about this card: running Skulking Geist wrecks almost every Mecha'thun deck (notably not Priest). You could also play Warlock with their new demon project card and/or Gnomeferatu. A lucky Gnomeferatu wins you the game.
Problems being that some people want to play one of the other 8 classes and still win, and Gnomeferatu usually just helps burn the fat of the deck that the opponent wants to get rid of anyway.
Screw this card to the depths of hell and back. And everyone who plays it. Thank you.
Let’s talk nerfs. I’m thinking we change the effect from “Deathrattle” to “Start of Game” and I think it’ll be fine.
Fun and interactive.

the definiton of uninteractive. mecha thun priest needs a nerf. other ones are fine. mecha thun priest absolutely destroys slow decks.

Tl;dr don't play against other players with premade decks. It's just not fun.
Fucking great, now there's a OTK'thun deck for Rogues. This card needs to get fucking nerfed immediately.
Blizzard tried to print another "Fuck you, I win" card to empower noobs and suck in new money.
Glad to see they failed this time, instead of sticking us with another Shudderwock.

Alot ppl say that the egg priest is not strong enough, but vs this card decks.. just put alot eggs in their deck and gg :D
It needs to be played in that specific order so the summoned Mecha'thun will take the damage from Ticking Abomination deathrattle.

Seems like the only mecha'thun deck Skulking Geist wrecks is druid?
