GvG RELEASE DATE: North America - Monday, Dec. 8 and Europe - Tuesday, Dec. 9
In case you missed the ANNOUNCEMENT, the first expansion for Hearthstone, named Goblins VS Gnomes, will be focused primarily on mechanical units, consist of 120 cards, and be available next month (December 2014) in booster packs at the same price as Expert packs.
One of the first things you should notice about this expansion is the amount of random effects you can expect. I anticipate these cards will have a HUGE impact on Arena games by giving every class some form of removal with the Neutral cards introduced here.
You will find all the Neutral cards that have been released so far below. If you want to see the class cards you can click on the links or scroll to the section. Please feel free to share your opinions on any of the cards listed!
Well, like I said in another thread, I think there is a risk of card dilution With too many cards in Arena. It may become significantly harder to access some of the key cards for a specific class (i e beasts for a hunter or fireballs for a mage). Basically you cannot 'expect' anything, and have to shy away from every combo dream you ever had. This may make the decks less efficient, which is good or bad, depending on taste. Personally, with more cards to choose from, I wouln't mind drafting from four cards instead of three to compensate for a larger card pool.
Yep I think this will be the greatest impact that this expasion will cause. Drafting more than 2 of the same card will be a lot harder. And that is awesome, a lot of variety on Arena gameplay (less mages :DDD) and more equality between classes. I think that since you don't know what are you going to get, Hero Power will play a bigger role when you're choosing your hero.
As for the cards, welp, AntiGrav1ty's and Trump's arena Tier List are completely irrelevant now. And Harvest Golem got a lot better with all the Mech Synergy.
It's true about too many cards diluting Arena, but that's further down the road before we see a huge impact. I wonder if they will eventually adopt a similar method to Magic: The Gathering and limit Arena to "blocks" of cards (typically the initial set release and two expansions that are paired with it).

Not a whole lot of commons here. I'm just hoping random doesn't utterly infest common as it is the higher rarities, that has the potential to ruin arena.

No no no, It's just a Token. You need Mimiron's Head + 3 Mechs to summon him, pretty much like Exodia from Yu-Gi-Oh
You guys are both right, I didn't notice the "token" classification. Thanks for setting me straight!

Sea Giant into Recombobulator will be an interesting combo. (will give you either Sea Giant, or Deathwing)
Shadow Madness your opponent's Sludge Belcher, attack face, then Recombobulator it into Leeroy Jenkins, and attack again.
Recombobulating Ironbark protectors is going to be a really strong play too, as Ironbark is common and all the other 8 mana minions are legendary.
LOL! You are absolutely right and this is going to make for some crazy plays.
