Alot of people think this is a good card.. but its not. I use to run it in my mech mage but noticed sometimes the spare part i gave my opponent won them the game. Sure you get one too but no class is gonna benifit off of a spare part more then another. (Unless you use mechanics that triger off of casting a spell. I actully just won a game in ranked from my opponent mech yeti, was 3 off lethal turn 8 and was able to swap thunder bluff to make him a 6/3. Also really bad to give ur opponent time stop. Iv played 3 dr. Booms in 1 game from that.
Dones my opponent get the same spare part as I do?
Nope.
Both Undertaker and Mechwarper work with this one, but it seems Piloted Shredder is better in this sense for it has better resistance for very little loss of attack( spawns lower attack 2-drop). For decks that value the spare part like aggro mecha Mage, this card is preferred.
In fact Mech Yeti serves more interesting schemes. You can perform hand destruction with it in a mill deck, as it gives your opponent a spare part, like King Mukla. It also lowers the cost of Mountain Giant and Clockwork Giant, good for the Giant Paladin with Holy Wrath.
With the Auctioneer nerf, giving your foe a spell is not as foolish as it used to be. But it can still be very dangerous if your foe gets spare part stealth or freeze.
For constructed, I think this card only makes sense if you benefit from the deathrattle effect more than your opponent - i.e. pair it with Undertaker. Otherwise, it's really no better than a regular Yeti. You play it in a mech deck too - I don't see why not in that case - but I am not convinced mech decks are that good.
Picked this one in arena today. This card sucks as the surprise taunt from enemy could cost you a game.
the effect is symetric, genius.
is it? Do we each get the same card?
No, Yakez is right, unless used in a mech deck to replace Chillwind Yeti the potential downside isn't really worth it. If you love RNG you are better off trying the Piloted Shredder.
Personally, I think this is a card with amazing potential. It could be used in mill decks and could be used almost anywhere. It has yeti stats which are great for a four cost. Now whether or not its worth it to give your opponent a spare part that's a whole nother question. I don't believe it will outright replace chillwind yeti, but it will cause a small shift in the meta, in my opinion.
Love the artwork. The value king is back!
Why play yeti anymore?
because imma mill you to death muahahaha
blizzard cares about majority opinion. seems like most people agree with it.
A deathrattle, a mech AND a yeti, enough said. Undertaker approves this card.
