ive taken a good long look at this card art and i just cannot figure it out. is its face the drill? does it not have a face? what practicality does it gain with the drill being placed on its torso rather than its hands?
Dust.
Anybody else notice that this card thinks it's magnetic and plays the magnetic animations when you're about to play it? Weird.
Fun fact: this card is not fake and does exist!
It says "friendly mech" does that mean that it can target itself?
Very strong comprehension skills.
and then mage crushed everyone in mechs.
THE END.
I give it an 8/10, mainly because I don't know if Mech Warrior is possible. If it is, this is affectively a 4/7 for 4 and 2/5 can trade with 2 3/2s which is a plus. I'll monitor this card.
Mech Houndmaster. Doesn't give taunt, but it has a decent body.
Awesome drop to follow a Harvest Golem.
The only appeal of this for me is being able to name my deck "Mech Warrior."
6/5 stats some of the time in a mech deck and 2 of it has charge potential for 4 mana seems quite strong. I think this card would be OP if it was neutral.
GvG needs to introduce more good 4-drops into this game, and this is an example of one. Naxx supplied us with great 5-drops, and now Yeti needs some company. I think people are thinking a bit myopically about this card. Just because it is 4 mana doesn't mean it must be played on turn 4. You can also play it on turn 6 with an Annoy-o-Tron for a 3/4 divine shield taunt, as one of many examples. It is not until a card is released and people come up with different ideas for a card that we will know its usefulness, but I've heard this card is too strong, not strong enough, fits in warrior, doesn't fit in warrior, etc. Whatever, most people in this community do not know what they want or what they're talking about.
Between this and Shieldmaiden, it does feel like they're trying to make tempo warrior viable.
The name 'Mech-Warrior' has a certain ring to it...
7 years later and you're right 3 times over!
I have no idea how this card thematically fits Warrior at all.
If anything, class-specific minion buffs are more typically aligned towards the skillsets of Paladin, Druid, and Priest.
Whereas, Warrior as a class was designed to focus on efficient single target removal, armor, weapons, and gaining benefits from friendly minions being damaged (e.g. Armorsmith, Acolyte, Taskmaster, Frothing Berserker).
If anything, I would have preferred that Clunker instead start out as a mere 1/1, with an attached Battlecry gaining +1/1 for each point of armor you have. Despite the crazy amount of armor that Control Warrior is capable of gaining, my theorized version of the Clunker would still be able to be Silenced (thus, not OP).
Or perhaps instead, maybe Clunker could summon a variable number of duplicate bodies based on the remaining durability of your weapon? (incentivizing players to insert Upgrade into their deck?
Looks like a mech houndmaster with better stats.
The name is nothing if not fitting; if you don't have any other mechs, it's janky, it's clunky, and you're screwed.
Jokes aside however, in a dedicated Warrior Mech deck this seems pretty solid. Like 50hz said, it's a Mech Houndmaster without the taunt, and we all know that's a solid card. I'd rather have a 2/5 than a 4/3 anyway.
Nice! It's like a Mech Houndmaster, really like the stat distribution too.
4/7 for 4 is pretty great.
I think this is a pretty good card, especially since Warriors don't really have a good 4 drop, other than Kor'kron Elite depending on what type of deck you're running. Can't wait to use this.
Interesting that this is a warrior card. Seems kinda slow and you have to have a mech on the board for it to really be worth anything.
