that seems like an impractical design for a cannon. wouldn't the energy come seeping out of the side grills and you would end up losing valuable ammunition?
Dust.
My old friend, it is time to shine like you never could before.
Aside being fun to use, this card can easily get some great value - all it's ever needed was the right deck.
I love this card in Wild. I went with almost 100% mech deck (still including Shredders and Cogmasters). Made it a budget deck for funsies and this guy is the boss. It was terrible when it first came out because mech mage would wreck this deck so hard, but now I very rarely see mech decks. I agree with Mrktrx--I often grab Fel Cannons from Gorillabots when I can.
I've been using it in my Mechlock deck and it's actually quite good. Occasionally it will hit my Nerubians or Dr. Booms but when it kills an enemy minion right when it hits the board, it's great.
Didn't quite work in Warlock Mech decks (not saying Warlock Mech decks were a thing anyway, but still), because Mech decks often have minions on the board that aren't Mechs themselves. Cogmaster and Tinkertown Technician are examples. So, even though it looks strong for some kind of mid-range Mech Warlock, since it doesn't really have synergy with other Mech-related cards, it isn't used.
Can however be used with Eggs, particularly Nerubian Egg, but you don't use this Mech-related card in a deck with Nerubian Egg.
I wipe most meta decks with mechlock specially aggro you won't play cogmaster, you play clockwork gnome, and every time I play gorilla bot I'm fishing for another fel cannon,
Tinkertown tech is not a problem at all, you rarely play him on turn 3 and then fel cannon turn 4, usually mechwarper lets you play on turn 3.
i also play Foe reaper 4000 it's a very underrated card.
I wholeheartedly agree with every point.
I finally unpacked a second Fel Cannon earlier today so I decided to make a mechlock, and so far I'm having tremendous luck with both it and Fel Cannon. Fel Cannon has perfect stat distribution to make it as tough as possible to kill (for a 4 drop), and with even just a bit of strategizing that damage is guaranteed to save you. I even include two Cogmasters, two Tinkertown Techs, and two Implosions; just be smart about how you play your non-mechs and they aren't really a problem at all.
Warlock's hero power compensates for what is arguably a mech deck's biggest problem: card draw and hand disadvantage. I near always have a considerable hand and means of addressing the opponent's plays.
I've only gotten to play Foe Reaper once so far, but that single time was against a druid who had to dump combo in order to kill it, and that ultimately cost him the game. I feel the reason Foe Reaper isn't really played is because there are better 8 drops for non-mech decks, while the vast majority of mech decks are aggro-based and therefore have no room for an 8 drop. Mechlock is a bit more mid-range/control focused than standard mechs, so I'd wager Foe Reaper is a splendid inclusion for it.
Better than it looks, especially when you have a Nerubian Egg lying around — and we all know how Warlocks love their eggs!
This card is so bad.
I had I game today where I had 2 Fel Cannons against a Creeper. First Cannon hits the Creeper, of course, but the second Cannon decides to hit the already dead creeper. Just something to consider.
Had the same thing happen to me. WTF?
2 Fel cannons trigger in the same phase (turn ending phase), and the creeper has not died before the phase ends since HS rarely check for the death of minion inside any certain phase-----it is just mortally wounded. Don`t need to worry so much, as if there are another non-mech minion surviving on the board, the second fel cannon will rather hit that minion than hit a mortally wounded creeper
Just pulled this out of an Unstable portal in arena and was able to coin out on turn 2.
Hit the enemy minions 3 times in a row.
*RAGEQUIT*
This card is really fun.
Except the two times I've put down a non-mech 2-health minion and this on an empty board. Goodbye two health minion of mine.
... time to change those into nerubian eggs so that I don't have to think as hard...
I'm sure this will see reliable play in the next expansion... Seems pretty dead being most everyone will have a MECH heavy deck.
Sure, whatever you say. I'm going to 'guess' that's it'll never be seen. Dust fodder.
What about this only hitting minions don't you understand?
i really hope that you get to choose your target, as it doesn't say random unlike every card with a similar effect. I'd find it distasteful if it didn't as it would be inconsistent with the general card text structure.
This hurts my eyes. And my soul.
it doesnt seem that great, but still pew pew pew
