Newer player and my collection hasn't updated since I played for a few days after launch. Got back into the game and have been grinding quests and generic practice in casual to build 10g every three wins. Got up to 1k gold and decided to see what my luck would be like and got 5 WW and 5 RR packs. Managed to pull Halazzi, the Lynx, Emeriss and Baku the Mooneater. Pretty stoked with that ratio
Today my thief priest games were crazy. Sorry for taking only one pic, but just see what I did against this anyfin paladin.
(fatigue counter was @ 7) In that game I stole his DK, Ivory Knight, Sunkeeper Tarim twice (second time with Chameleos), I entomb-ed the annoying murlocs (in order to deny their combo) and got a second copy of Old Murk-Eye. If you didn't see my hand, you wouldn't guess I was playing priest. :P
The game before that (versus Evenlock). Well, what can I say? I played the opponent's LK, followed with an 8/8 giant and to their great surprise I managed to steal the LK again thx to Chameleos. When they dealt with my BS board and played their LK, I had a treat in store for him (Entomb). After that I played Hellfire, Twilight Drake and another 8/8.
And a game in wild casual - dragon paladin. Dunno what to say, it was very satisfying to start off as a deathrattle deck and then to change to dragons (I love you, Benedictus). My opponent managed to get Entomb from Nefarian, so they stole my Amara. At one point I was at 16 health having already played my DK, while they were sitting at 40 with a very threatening board. Sadly for my opponent I top-decked Psychic Scream, they drew a 1/1 dude and on my next turn I played a stolen Alexstrasza "dealing" 25 face damage. My opponent instantly conceded. :P
I just have to share these moments with you, guys:
So yesterday I was goofing with my meme Steal Priest on this mid-range hunter. I was at 1 health probably for 7-8 turns straight (we were both using our hero powers). I remember how I top-decked Sludge Belcher just when my opponent found Candleshot. They had Hunter's Mark and dealt with him and with the token taunt as well, but then I cast my DK and healed to 8. After a few turns I drew Awaken the Makers (I always remove it, in order to improve my early game), top-decked Greater Healing Potion, found the missing deathrattles and healed to 40. BOI, I can't express how satisfying it was to survive this aggression. But the joyment didn't end there. My opponent was a figher and didn't concede on the spot. Mighty Lord, thanks for giving me the opportunity to rob the hunter even more.
At this moment my opponent had 2 cards left in their deck. They drew one, but I stole the last with Archbishop Benedictus. I admit, it sucks a lot when your Deathstalker Rexxar is literally the last card of your deck. :P
Against Burn Big Priest
So normally this is an unfavourable MU, since I can't deal with the surprise burst attack. Fortunately for me, my opponent played greedily (they Entomb-ed my Archbishop Benedictus and Amara, Warden of Hope) and they diluted their deck. As a result I got plenty of time to do the following plays:
I was very excited to surprise my opponent with sudden burst from Prophet Velen (just like what they wanted to do against me in the first place). My opponent was rightfully scared, so they healed themselves to 40. This is what happened afterwards:
I also faced a Burn Mage. I was super low on health (@9) on turn 8 and my quest completion was 5/7. I had to scream their board and to play a Crystalline Oracle. My opponent made a big mistake by not killing it and instead they ping-ed my face. I copied the 1/1 with Zola the Gorgon, played the Oracle, fulfilled the quest and healed myself to 40. My opponent cast Pyroblast and conceded afterwards. :P
Today's game against a spellhunter:
So I was low on health yet again. On turn 10 I had 7 life points, while my opponent had only one card in their hand. Thanks to Chameleos I knew it was a weapon (Eaglehorn Bow), so I decided to play my N'Zoth, the Corruptor, in order to fulfill the quest and to heal myself afterwards. I have to admit, w/o this knowledge I would have screwed myself big time. I would have healed myself with my HP and risk dying to randomly generated spells from Rhok'delar, which the hunter immediately drew after I finished my turn. Anyway after they played the weapon, they killed one of the Shifting Shades with Deadly Shot and I got this:
I just love stealing my opponent's DKs. :P
I had lethal next turn. Of course I had to play Rexxar, in order to annoy my opponent even more. But get this, RNGeesus blessed me even more by making my Chameleos turn into the opponent's Flare. This was just what I needed, in order to make a big finale.
I just love beating my opponents with their own cards.
Right now I'm at rank 3. I'm very close to make a standard Thief Priest deck and I might as well craft Baku the Mooneater, in order to make an odd version.
Lastly, today I played a bit of arena and went 5-3 with hunter. Got an RR pack and inside it I found a legendary - Halazzi, the Lynx. It's really bad, but the fact that I got a legendary within the first 10 packs after I already found one warmed my heart.
[edit] Whoops, forgot to add the theme music of this deck:
Got to rank 5 again in more than a year (mostly due to laziness but also due to mostly maining slow decks). Got there with Even Shaman and don't feel bad in the slightest. It actually is a pretty fun deck and takes more thought to pilot well than most give credit for (such as the game where I felt one of my Reno Lock opponents might have had Godfrey so instead of being greedy and dealing 10 damage with a couple of my minions I instead took some trades to play around it since not playing around it would clear my entire board).
Another reason I don't feel bad laddering with Even Shaman is I got to CRUSH both the aggressive Kingsbane decks & Big Priest with roughly a 75-80% win rate against each. Nothing feels better than slaughtering decks that normally prey on control/otk decks. Feelsamazingman.
Playing my janky Odd Gonk Druid deck on R20 in Wild against a Paladin. He’s handbuffing like crazy while I assemble my pieces in hand. Had to use one of my faceless manipulators on a 19/17 Lich King and he takes me all the way to fatigue. Finally, I put two copies of Gonk on the board (5-cost Gonk and 0-cost Manipulator) after drawing my last card. With DK Malfurion now down, I HP for 3 attack and play Feral Rage for 8 armor, enough to keep me alive and do six damage to his face, bringing him into lethal range as long as he doesn’t kill both Gonks or play another overbuffed taunt.
He plays a 1/1 minion (why??) before dropping Reno to heal himself up to 30, before hitting my face with the minions on his board to drop me down to 3 health. No taunts. Gonks still Gonking.
Next turn, I take 1 fatigue damage. I play two Savage Roar and my second Feral Rage. Gonks go face for 16 damage, I attack his 1/1 and then do another 16 damage to his face.
Nothing better than beating a sore loser. Sorry your Quest Warrior Standard could not outvalue my Reno Mage. Yup Zola on Reno is broken, yup N'Zoth has a crazy value, yup Rag' hurts like a truck. Welcome to wild my friend. Oh and next time, no need to rope when you see you lost, you're also wasting your own time. Just quit or surrender, whichever you prefer.
Just had two very disgusting wins as Steal Priest.
So I casually queued against this even shaman. Thx to my lucky card draw, I got some oracles at the beginning of the game and I managed to steal some reactive cards (Jade Lightning + Fire Elemental). I also had AoEs of my own, so I was prepared for their threats. At one moment I top-decked Chameleos which warned me about Windfury and Flametongue Totem. They played 2 4 mana 7/7s and hoped I wouldn't deal with them. :P Anyway at one moment I played a stolen Genn Greymane and the 4 mana windfury guy, which I stole thx to Chameleos. Eventually they dealt with my BS. At one moment they had enough and went all in. They played Thing from Below, bunch of screamed totems and a Sea Giant. Unfortunately for them my Anduin was waiting. They conceded afterwards.
After this game I waited a while and I queued against the same person again. This time they played rogue and I thought they were counter queuing with something more aggressive. But get this, they were playing Millzoth. I played my Archbishop Benedictus, they copied him with Gang Up and we both diluted our decks. Unfortunately for my opponent, my best cards were in my hand and I killed them with the DK. They couldn't find their Antique Healbots.
So you know those unfair broken openings, when Barnes pulls a Y'shaarj? Well, this happened again and this time their Y'shaarj pulled Kel'thuzad. I had the coin, so I had the possibility to cast Lightbomb, but the problem was, that Kel'thuzad would resurrect everything. I knew I was f*cked. My opponent cast Shadow Word: Pain on their 1/1 Y'shaarj and cast Resurrect. Kel'thuzad resurrected the Old god and the summoned from a spell Y'shaarj recruited a Ragnaros.
So let's recap - on turn 5 my opponent had 3/3 Barnes, 2x 10/10 Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, 6/8 Kel'Thuzad and Ragnaros the Firelord. ON TURN 5. WHAT THE ACTUAL FLYING FUCK. So I knew I had to rely on Mass Hysteria to save me and it did. It left a Y'shaarj however, but at least it killed KT. My opponent cast Eternal Servitude and summoned Rag and the Y'shaarj summoned the OG Y'shaarj from the deck. I cast Lightbomb, but things were looking pretty grim because I was @ 2 health and could die to another Rag ping. Unfortunately for my opponent, they didn't have another resurrection spell, I managed to heal through potions and spirit lash (+ bloodmage thalnos) and finally thx to Amara.
I was playing my RNG Mage once again at Wild Rank 20 against a Quest APM Priest. I had played a randomly generated Ice Block some time ago, and after he went down to 13 health, up to 40 health, and back down to 5 with me having lethal next turn, he goes all in with the combo, executed it almost perfectly, and would have killed me had it not been for my Ice Block. He emoted "The Light shall burn you!" when he popped the block, and I killed him after his rope ran out. That was ranked win number 483 with Mage for me, meaning my first 500th ranked class win is not too far off.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
162 ladder wins with Renouncelock and counting! Reno, Zoo, Cube, Even; they all run Renounce Darkness in my lists!
Had the longest game of my life today, 36 minutes...and it wasn't control decks...I played Whizbang and ended up having that shitty Shudderwock-Hagatha-no-Synergies deck against a Acadamic Espionage Rogue. I smorced him down fast, but then I struggled to keep up the pressure and he healed back up...and then it was the other way around until it was the other way around again...freaking fun game...
I'm bummed that Dragon Warrior isn't as strong as I was hoping when RR launched, but man it is nice when I run into the cancerous sadsacks playing Spell Hunter in Casual. Just fill up the board with sticky dragons without attacking, drop Alexstrasza to cut their health in half and all the secrets in the world won't save them from the OTK's worth of SMOrc. Bagged 2 already today; probably a dozen in the last week or so.
Got an amazing above-average pull with the wild bundle. Out of 40 packs, 10 from each of the four in the bundle, I got 5 legendaries (one of which was in a double legendary pack), a golden epic, some golden rares, and about 1k dust worth of value (not including extra non-golden cards that I'll dust since I only care about keeping one of non-goldens once I have at least one golden copy). My legendaries in order of pulling them were Hobart, Beardo, Gormok & Justicar, and Iron Juggernaut. I didn't take pics of the Hobart or Beardo packs but I took screenshots of them in the collection.
Think I can be an unofficial sponsor for all rng pack related wild deals now ;P
We both had some Seance shenanigans with his Archbishop Benedictus and both ended up having decks of 50+ cards!
In the end I won because I had Alexstrasza in my hand from the beginning and because he couldn't get more than 2 Amara, Warden of Hopes (I think Benedictus screwed up his Shadow Visions but I'm not sure).
I've had a similar game not too long ago, which I lost, but in this case I don't care too much because it feels good when games are this fun
I feel really good about not spending a dime on this game since Boomsday. That's my pepper!
Discovered Zul'jin with Curious Glimmerroot.
Played it and promptly stole both his Zombeasts with Mind Controls and got two The Lich Kings from Free From Ambers.
He conceded.

"surrender to madness is a bad card!"
we'll see about that. :)
edit: showing the end result of this game. i started as a priest....

Golden Kazakus and also Paletress. Considering I play mainly priest, I'm happy. Well now I have to play wild and face the Big Priest but hey.
Only faced two hunters out of three games today while doing my play 30 random paladin cards today! Today is a great day!
