Double Decker - Barrens Multitype Wild Decks
Welcome back to another Double Decker article. All new cards, returning cards from the past, and brand new core cards are making for a very interesting experience. People are experimenting with all kinds of strategies in standard to try finding the best new deck for ranked. Casual Wild players have new opportunities too!
Once again, we dove into past decks and added some of the new cards into them, as well as combined some archetypes to try to make interesting new deck ideas. These decks are mostly for fun, but they can work very well if you’re dedicated to it. If you’re looking for a fun challenge for yourself, try out one of these decks!
Token Deathrattle Demon Hunter
A lot of the new Demon Hunter cards allow for a unique type of Deathrattle deck. Since your minions are continuously dying and summoning other things, you can take advantage of the cards like Wrathscale Naga and Nethrandamus capitalize on the death of your minions. Death Speaker Blackthorn can potentially pull one or both Stalagg and Feugen out of your deck for an earlier than normal Thaddius.

Taunt Recruit Druid
Injured Marauder, Zul'Drak Ritualist, and Hecklebot are all 4-cost Taunt minions with massive stats and negative Battlecries. They can abuse the value generated by Oaken Summons and Guild Recruiter. If you happen to draw one of them, you can use Shadow Hunter Vol'jin to swap one of the tokens your cheaper spells can create with a large taunt, or even Hadronox if you're lucky.

Small Spell Beast Hunter
Hunter typically lack ways to maintain card advantage without losing a lot of tempo. But now that Lock and Load costs (1) and Barak Kodobane can refresh your hand, you can now effectively run tons of cheap spells. Also having plenty of ways to summon several Beasts at once can benefit Scavenging Hyena and Starving Buzzard. Since there aren’t any super essential 4-cost card, you can include the new fun legendary Kazakus, Golem Shaper if you want to.

Even Dragon Mage
There are several ways to take advantage of the cards that support the Mage Hero Power. Choosing Even Mage simply makes Fireblast more cost efficient when using it to combo with your cards. After using Wildfire, playing Mordresh Fire Eye or Coldarra Drake can help you gun down your enemies. There are conveniently enough even-cost Dragons to run some of the Dragon cards alongside the Hero Power support.

Pure Libram Holy Galvadon Paladin
Several Paladin spells have recently been classified as Holy, and there are a decent number of ways to support Holy Synergy. Librams and targetted buffs are considered Holy, and those can help you get Galvadon. These are all class cards, so you can still afford to run the Pure Paladin support as well.

Heal Quest Priest
Xyrella and Devouring Plague are great new Priest cards on their own, but really shine in healing-based decks like ones with Activate the Obelisk. Not only do Injured Tol'vir and Injured Blademaster give you something to heal, they are fantastic minions to resurrect with Rally!

Watch Post Kingsbane Rogue
The Watch Post package has proven useful in plenty of decks so far. They’re pretty good as support alongside other deck types. If you want to run a more control oriented Kingsbane Rogue, the Watch Posts can help you buy some time while you forge your enormous weapon, which can also make permanent use of the new poisons.

Elemental Quest Shaman
A majority of Elementals have effects in the form of Battlecries, and that makes Corrupt the Waters a neat way to make them more useful. Many of the Battlecries deal damage. Sandstorm Elemental and Earth Revenant can help you keep your opponent’s board under control. Then you can use Fire Elemental and Kalimos, Primal Lord to burn your opponent for tons of damage.

Lackey Egg Zoolock
Warlocks recently got a few cards that can fit into Zoo decks. Adding eggs into the mix can give you decent targets for the effects of Grimoire of Sacrifice and Kabal Outfitter. Lackeys are pretty useful with other cards that need a sacrifice or just want to summon other minions as well. Vectus can get pretty good value as well by giving his whelps the Deathrattles of your previous eggs.

Handbuff Frenzy Galakrond Warrior
Frenzy is a keyword that was almost made for Warrior. Several of the Handbuff, Frenzy, and Galakrond cards happened to work very well together. Awaken! can trigger Frenzy effects. Handbuffs are extra useful on Scion of Ruin as well as Mor'shan Elite, which can summon the copy by Invoking Galakrond, the Unbreakable. Of course, Galakrond himself can buff all of these minions, which are definitely useful all the minions with Rush or like taking damage often.

We hope you like these ideas for updated decks and combination archetypes to try out in Wild. We plan to continue presenting ideas for these kinds of decks whenever new cards are released. If you ever want a break from using the same decks everyone else built, try to challenge yourself by merging archetypes and making a successful combination of cards that can rival the power of decks in the meta!
Let's hope a few Res priests see this and try something...
Great post, coming back to hearthstone after a couple of years that nice to see these decks with the new cards in it !
I would recommend Archmage Vargoth for the mage deck to copy Wildfire. Having a 4 damage hero power feels awesome.

Finally we got instetesting and creative decks from wild side, so I want to enjoy to do other kind of decks in which anyone would try as well ^-^
Okay, this is by far my favorite deck lists post that you guys have posted!! Barrens and the core set have combined to make one of the most fun wild experiences I’ve had maybe ever.
Lots of inspiration coming from these lists. Hell yeah, thank you
I'm glad you like them! I personally love making weird decks with cards a lot of people forget about. I've been using Even Dragon Mage for a long time now and it finally gets more stuff.
Thank you for the pleasant Saturday morning read. All of these look fun to try out
You'll certainly be hard to predict. No one expects the Pure Libram Holy Galvadon Inquisition!
I love the new desing how you highlight core cards from those decks. Nice work! I hope this style will be used always for this kinds of threads.
I wish I had time to make banners for every article with a bunch of decks. Unfortunately, it takes a long time so I can only do it for the articles I make myself. I'm glad you like them though!
Even Mage is still in the works, but Frizz Kindleroost should set up some great plays...
Frost bolt is also a strange choice over Garrison Commander.
