As a non-paladin player, I for one, will be very happy when this card rotates.

You're being too harsh on this card, it will realistically cost 6 by just playing the 2 discounters on curve, and at 6 is completely bonkers. Everybody and their mamas play Khartut Defender for 6 in slower decks, which is significantly worse than an 8/8 taunt divine shield for obvious reasons (Priest res bs aside). Hidden Oasis with the quest completed is another good comparison which sees play. I mean, I can see the Librams package failing in its entirety because is simply too new and doesn't have enough support and discounters, but this card in itself definitely won't be the reason for the failure.

Between the cost reduction minions and Lady Liadrin, as well as an 8/8 divine shield being more useful in many stages than drawing 3 cards (Lay On Hands), this spell could be a big push to a Liadrin control deck.

It's a targeted spell, so Lady Liadrin will give copies back. Along with half a dozen copies of Libram of Wisdom if you play it in the deck.
