I mean it's good body 3/6 for 5 mana.
Effect is nothing special, but it can see play definitely.
I'm glad i got her today out of a tavern brawl scholomance academy pack. :)
Definitely won't dust her.
If you spellburst her and she casts Maw of C'thun, can she kill herself accidentally if there are no other minions on board?
She'll accidentally kill herself even if there are other minions on board.
Has anyone else noticed that even with multiple copies of her on board only the original copy off of cards such as psyche split will spellburst...I had 4 on board and only one would trigger, I understand that spellburst triggers only once but it seems like all the copies shared the same single effect
Totally busted
Unlike traditional "do nothing" cards, this will, in worst case scenario, thin your deck. This is also a relatively low cost card compared to those hand clogging 8 or 9 mana do nothings that we have so many of. This will see play.
If i play this card.
Is the card Alura casts removed from my deck?
Yes. If not the card text would read "copy of a spell", like with Tortollan Pilgrim.
A great paladin legendary. Shame they wasted the priest/paladin slot with a unit that is unfitted for pretty much any current priest build. Overall priest reveals have been pretty weak and nothing hints that priest will be something different from gala priest (yet again) for 4 more months. Wake up blizzard, priest players want to play something else competitively after 8 months of gala.
Dude just play cube priest. It has no plague of death. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_a4K2axyoCo&t=467s
It's not just Plague of Death, it's Shadow Word Pain, Penance, Time Rip and all the stuff that you DON'T want to cast with this. This card is simply not functioning in a priest deck, unless you enjoy russian roulette.
or you can realize this Expansion is pushing Tempo Priest - a version of priest that doesnt run any of the cards that would possibly backfire
I'm not sure how priest is going to handle this card, because Plague of Death or Time Rip are going to be some really nasty cards to fish out with her effect, making her a bit more inconsistent, but paladin is going to have a field day with her. Being able to tutor and cheat out a Libram of Wisdom as your low roll is actually amazing by itself, but you could effectively turn her into a 5/8 draw a card if you hit Hand of A'dal, make her be a Veranus with Libram of Justice (just hope you don't have a weapon equipped), clear out and chip your opponents board with Consecration (arguably the low roll, but still nothing to complain about), or high roll and hit Libram of Hope, turning her into potentially the biggest tempo play the game has available on turn 4 (or 3 with some super rng going second). This card is going to be a huge push of power for libram paladin, and I am here for it.
While possible, it's hard to make work consistently, as you need a spell to trigger the spellburst. So you'd need to run something in addition to scales. But at that point you're now risking the other card to trigger instead. It could be that running Hand of A'dal and Tip the Scales as your only spells could work. So at worst she ends up being a 5/8 draw a card when you trigger her spellburst, and at best, summon a load of murlocs. Still inconsistent, but a possibility.
Running an admittedly more fun than competitive libram/old-quest deck in wild, I look forward to including this card. Play it on turn 4 with a 0 cost Libram (or turn 5 with a 1 cost), then at worst even if you just get the other Libram of Wisdom out on it, it's a 4 mana 4/7 that's drawn and played a card for you.
I might cut the Undatakah package out - that quite frankly, almost never bears fruit - and include this plus one or two of the other new buff paladin cards instead.
Actually, using Wandmaker, you could guarantee getting a large spell out of your deck turn 5. Alternatively, you could run a Quest and just not play it until turn 5 to activate the combo.
Let's say I run only First Day of School and Libram of Hope... enjoy a turn 4 this and an 8/8 Ancient Guardian. (with lucky draw rng)
Possible Tip the Scales comeback?
This card is so good. The effect ist not amazing, but it's very playable. 4 mana 3/6 is the standard and the spellbust is like draw + mana cheating.
Sometimes you will lose consagrations or librarian of justice, but don't really care because are cards from your deck.
