With the legendary Barak, hunter is being injected with cheap spell synergy and this bad boy has real potential to pump out some value. Scavenging Hyena remains in core set, there’s a specific beast tutor now in hunter core set, and there’s dire frenzy back in core set.  Don’t feed the animals can also be tutored by Barak which adds some further spice into the beast /spell mix.

Wisdom wont write this one off so readily. Hunter is going to look a LOT different in the year of the gryphon, but they’re getting some flexible and strong tools that just might work.

Keep this with Trueaim and Bola, and it helps you control the early board against classes that go wide, fast.  In other words, this feels more like a control tool, than an aggro tool.

Nah. It could only see play in some sort of aggressive Hunter in Standard, but even then you have better options.

2 cost 2/3 that does nothing on turn 2, and on turn 3 requires a spell be played...and for a 1/1 with rush? I hope there will be better 2 cost choices in standard, but so many things are changing, it's hard to tell atm. Of course it could be played later in combo with some spells, but again, will a couple 1/1s be of much use? Time will tell.
