Elementals buff paladin. My favorite deck so far and really strong against any control when you chose the right cards, and also good enough against pirate and aggro shaman to do well. It also beats rogue very consistently, just play a card each turn against rogue and you usually win.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
My Elemental Shaman work well against them too, only one lose because of Brawl top-deck + 50/50 one-shot by hero-power the turn before lethal. It's theirs only way to recover against this kind of decks.
I'm playing with midrange hunter and I have a positive win rate against them. Don't go all in if they haven't played Brawl yet and try to play around Primordial Drake.
For anyone interested, the VS live page updates their data every hour - one of the tabs is "Top Archetype Match-Ups." Currently, Quest Rogue and Mid-Range Paladin have 58% win-rates against Quest Warrior, while Miracle Rogue has a 54% win-rate. The most popular deck on ladder is Mid-Range Hunter - its match-up against QW is even.
You can navigate the different data sets at the bottom of the page. There are a number of sites which track both Wild and Standard, using data from various deck-trackers. A little bit of googling will provide curious players with all the stats they will likely ever need. I'd recommend both HSReplays and Metastats, as good places to start.
nothing really beats it consistently, they added super powerful taunts that are stronger than neutral vanilla minions especially so for warriors class cards like bloodhoof brave and tar lord, and to top it all off they have multiple full board clears that often time end with a healthly taunt left on their side and nothing for you
i think it needs to be changed to 10 taunts to complete the quest, its way too easy to play overstated taunts on curve with a ragnaros hero power as the reward, its insane that they thought that would be ok
there's a reason everyone is spamming taunt warrior at rank 5, it counters aggro with taunts and beats control with an non interactive ragnaros power, no real counters other than draw better, taunts beat aggro/otk, ragnaros HP beats any late game deck no counter deck
taunt warrior obliterates hunter and time mage, taunt warriors will try to defend this thoughtless deck untill blizzard finally nerfs it 4 months later so people buy their new non uninteractive cash grab
I will say, it's kinda weird that they moved the real Ragnaros to the Hall of Fame ... and gave Warrior a Ragnaros that can never be killed.
And all in the name of propping up somebody's pet idea for Warrior class identity, which proved 100 percent ineffective until Team 5 hamfistedly tipped the scales with this quest.
I hope they can finally let it go now and design Warrior as a class that can win by skill rather than by just having blatantly OP class cards.
I've been playing Handbuff Paladin (deck in the signature) and Taunt Warrior is frankly free wins. It's teched well against it and the Paladin hero power works great to counter the rag hero power. I honestly think I've only lost once against Taunt Warrior so far (although Pirate Warrior isn't an autowin).
Taunt Warrior is my worst matchup by far! Paladin has good clears but their strong plays are on turn 8+. Taunt Warrior has weapons, Brawl, Sleep with the Fishes, so many ways to kill your guys. And then they play more Taunts. It's so hard to play around and still be assertive.
My biggest peeve is their turn 8 Primordial Drake! You have to consider it when dealing with their taunts on turn 7 AND it's a taunt itself. Also, Dirty Rat with Brawl can be absolutely backbreaking.
Any heavy control deck that gives you value, think Elise, Medivh, Ysera etc. If you need an example of what I've been using, heres my deck. It has only 1 loss against Quest Warrior, and close to 20 wins.
Quest warrior in general should be weak to a Warlock Zoo and a meatier version of Hunter, as Quest Warrior sacrifices a lot of card space for mostly dumb and inefficient taunt minions. Zoo and Hunter just swarm the board and efficiently kill of taunts while brining in damage, and Warrior's main goal to get their quest done is actually their grave, as the hero power is useless against a swarm of minions. Hunter has traditionally been good against slow Warrior duo to Savannah and deathrattles, but now with adapt there's high chances you just kill off their expensive minions with 1/1 poisonous or +3 attack.
I don't think old Druid or Handlock are as good as they used to be, but they should be 2nd best still as counters. probably aggressive Rogue builds can do the trick too because of high tempo gains with Sap and combo destroys.
I don't think Exodia mage is good vs it because of Dirty Rats.

Pirate Warrior (idk, facing taunts too), Ramp druid(4-3), beast hunter(10-8) and Rogue (Quest and Miracle 15-12) are the worst ones until now.
I hate murlocs.
My questing priest has been doing well agaisnt most tbh besides Rogue lmao

My Quest Rogue list also beats Quest Warrior 100% of the time.
Quest Warlock counters it pretty well. The Ragna hero power doesn't like infinity reproduction of Nether Imps so much. :D
Playing Hearthstone since Oct 2015. Favourite class: Warlock.
Aaaand I have 99 skills, but the english language ain't one. :D
I win with agro druid...

Quest rogue can beat it easily with the right cards .
But they usually muligan for pirates and lose some percentages .

I've found exodia mage can easily beat taunt warrior as he can't put any pressure on you until late game.
any kind of control paladin, n'zoth rogue, midrange hunter, i guess
Legend x1: 27th season - N'Zoth Rogue only.
