I got tired of minion heavy decks that you couldn’t get through. No names (Druid and priest...). I got tired of getting stomped on as rogue versus aggro hunters. And fuck meta. Let’s make something new.
im currently rank 3, and climbed like crazy from 5 with 2 losses. Works like a charm. There is a lot of ammunition here and the bullets are heavy as heck.
Trust me. This is a fun one. (On my phone, so I don’t feel like editing, but for additional burst and combo, swap an Amber Watcher for Archmage Vargoth)
I came up with a fun idea, uploaded it before it was done, but have done some additional work on it. It should be viable at this point. 8-) And you know, fun as fuck. Pardon my french.
It lacked draw mechanics and early game before. Adding a 1 mana cost weapon with cutthroat buccaneer, for additional sync with Ticket Scalper, things went really really solid. The other version wasn't consistent for shit.
I've played just above 3k games with rogue... I mean, if that's not saying how much I enjoy the class, I don't know what will. With that said... We have some new combo potential in da buuuuilding folks.
Before this, I loved playing double bcry combos. Playing combo rogues have always appealed to me. Now with the new Galakrond, getting 0 cost cards, there is even more potential for combos. But this time around, it's not with Malygos. Or even with Lifedrinker. This time around, we be comboing with Cannon Barrage.
I'll give you the general idea here. Fill your board with pirates and fuck some shit up. Why use mana when you don't need to..? Feels like too much effort if you ask me.
Good luck guys, and hope you enjoy the idea of this deck as much as me.
The major problem with this game... Is how you can't enjoy the full experience as a new player anymore. At the beginning, there aren't too many cards available. Think about the process of creating a new account and crafting all the cards you would need to have to go pro... The process is just way too long. There is too little payoff in the process.
Let's compare it to League for ex.: 1. You don't have to pay to enjoy the full experience. 2. There are more payoff from playing a lot. 3. The popularity of tournaments keeps the game alive - there are just more hype around it based on how they structure it.
There is just a lot more keeping League alive. Meanwhile, I believe HS developers ended up choosing the path of short term money - "Let's make a few new expansions and make people buy some cards until the game hype runs out". I don't know in who's hands the future of HS lays in, and in what way they will develop the game at this point... But something definitely wasn't all the way thought through, unless this was the end result they actually wanted to achieve and unless I'm right.
On another note: At one point, I think they listened too much on the player base, regarding the factor of RNG, because it will forever be a part of HS.
Instead of adding versatility to the game, no new classes came out. They began a freaking single player journey and kept on going towards that direction......... It's like when CS made a Fortnite mode... What are you thinking??
End note: A lot of the time, gaming companies forget about long term and focus on making short term money. Perhaps though, a gaming company such as Blizzard, might focus more on having a game endure for a certain amount of time to maximize how much the company makes to then develop additional games... Expansions...
I don't know man. It's looking grim for HS. We'll see what's going to happen in the end. We'll see.
Yeah, I've had some insane turns as well. I once played a 26/26 Sylvanas vs a Priest. That was fun. ^.^)... Yepp; I won that game. Although, I feel like a little bit of pressure from the opponent, and you tend to get blown over rather easily depending on your rank. I haven't found an obvious way around that. I'm thinking like removing Hellfire for a High Priestess Jeklik and a Zilliax - adding some heal. To cast fire on yourself is a rather self-deprecating behavior. But then again, sometimes you have to get through some pain to be beautiful... Bah. Who knows. I'm actually going to try that right now. Let's see how things turn out.
Sooo, what class currently isn't played that much... Hmmm. Warlock. Alright. How do most people play Warlock right now? Usually some fast paced stuff, or perhaps lackey. Let's change that. Duuude, I want to make Questlock a thing.
I introduce to you:
DRAGON DEMON WARLOCK
C'mon mate... I'm not a fucking magician. You'll have to settle with:
Yo, this is some neat stuff and very enjoyable to play. The whole point is basically to manage to add 3/3 to your minions as much as possible and simply out-value your opponent with insane minions.
Doubling Imp: And why add 3/3 to a minion per combo if you can add 6/6?
hir'eek the bat - can't link this shit for some reason: And why add 3/3 to a minion per combo if you can add 21/21 per combo?
As always, hit me up with some feedback if you'd like - it's always appreciated. I just wanted to share my idea, because I think it has potential.
I worked many hours on trying to optimize some kind of "No duplicate" deck as a Paladin. It was all about managing to find a sweet spot in-between clearing, pressure and healing, saving up for some sweet combos towards late game.
There is a pair of the famous wombo combo of Holy Wrath, Shirvallah, the Tiger and Baleful Banker, if you actually didn't manage to finish off some slow ass deck, despite all of your pressure.
I added an Archmage Vargoth, which is just incredible in certain situation. It really is great together with Avenging Wrath. That damage output though.
And my favorite part of the deck, together with the "25 damage face" combo, of course... Jepetto Joybuzz and Primsatic Lens. Think about all the cards I just mentioned and all the possible shenanigans available. It's very thought through and is pretty darn solid as a whole. 1 mana Faceless Manipulator is not so bad either. 8-)
Generally speaking, the deck doesn't have many early game cards. That's why it was extra important to play Call to Adventure and Witchwood Piper in the mix. It simply secures a certain potential for early denial and pressure. Another sceneario in which these cards work well in, is Baleful Banker + Zephrys the Great, if you are in a scenario were you shouldn't wait for the Shirvallah + Holy Wrath, wombo combo.
Summarized, there is basically a lot you can do. #The pressure never ends
As always... I'd love some feedback guys. What do you think?
So, I hit legend with my own deck. But the grind with the same deck just got boring to me. What to do... What to do... Should I grind to high legend... Oooooor... Should I make a weird ass deck..? LET'S MAKE A WEIRD ASS DECK.
The result: Hand Rogue - Aggro
Based on 10 games, I've won 9. However, I just lost against a control warrior after drawing all my cards, not managing to kill him... so I added Archivist Elysiana. Who needs panda when you've got shadowstep?
I honestly believe this deck is good. Any thoughts on the matter?
I'm not usually the grind type of person, but I've always liked the idea of making my own deck based on what I enjoy playing and getting to legend... At first I theorized and tried to make it work without playing too much, which got really tough. Eventually I decided to do the grind. So... For the first time I hit legend and managed to optimize the deck. I was using this concept of a deck since rank 10, with a few changes back and forth. This is where it eventually ended up.
Update:
I removed Preparation x2 and added Waggle Pick x2, since the deck really isn't that spell heavy. They are mostly dead weight. Now with waggle pick, your combo is so god damn impactful.
Secondly; Arrh, I am a pirate, mr. Hench-Clan Burglar x2 got removed for 1x Archivist Elysiana (BECAUSE SLOW WARRIORS ARE FREAKIN' PAINFUL) and 1x Zilliax, since I sometimes had a hard time against aggro decks.
Now the deck has the heal, the combo, a meaner combo, no dead weight cards and an insane amount of burst.
Some pointers: Shadowstep is absolutely insane as a fuel generator. Overall, it's great to use on Heistbaron Togwaggle, but early game, without coin, there is an incredible amount of value to gain from EVIL Cable Rat and Novice Engineer. You can get off combo's at 3 mana cost without coin and a crazy potential of getting 2 times the value from spirit of the shark at turn 4. Obviously it works great with EVIL Miscreant as well.
Shadowstep is just so damn versatile. Another example is how I just killed a priest on 21 health in one turn with Spirit of the Shark + 4x "deal 2 damage" lackeys + 1x Shadowstep + Waggle Pick. That was fun alright.
If the opponent is extremely aggro, you heal up A LOT with Lifedrinker x2 and can do some shit with Zilliax as well.
If you face a giant mage or something similar, you want to discover spells to kill stuff with asap. Shadowstep + spell discover lackey + Spirit of the Shark is 4 spells, choosing between 12 cards. You'll find what you need.

A stable deck with a strong finisher.

Vereesa Winderunner ain't bad man. She has good end fuel and has a bit of variation compared to all the Zul'jin decks out there.
Warlock:

This is the less unique I suppose, but still adds a twist using Plot Twist in a handlock deck. Try it out.

It's a really fun idea, but it lacked consistency. The updated version works much better. And it's also slightly more fun adding Malygos to the mix.

You have insane amounts of stabilizers and with Wild Pyromancer, Consecration, Equality (good vs priest), Shrink Ray, Aldor Peacekeeper and Subdue.
We have a King Phaoris. Enough said. He has a lot of potential when playing Prismatic Lens as well.
We have mechs + Kangor's Endless Army. We have Da Undatakah + some strong deathrattle effects.
I added an Archmage Vargoth, which is just incredible in certain situation. It really is great together with Avenging Wrath. That damage output though.
