I'm not usually the grind type of person, but I've always liked the idea of making my own deck based on what I enjoy playing and getting to legend... At first I theorized and tried to make it work without playing too much, which got really tough. Eventually I decided to do the grind. So... For the first time I hit legend and managed to optimize the deck. I was using this concept of a deck since rank 10, with a few changes back and forth. This is where it eventually ended up.
Update:
I removed Preparation x2 and added Waggle Pick x2, since the deck really isn't that spell heavy. They are mostly dead weight. Now with waggle pick, your combo is so god damn impactful.
Secondly; Arrh, I am a pirate, mr. Hench-Clan Burglar x2 got removed for 1x Archivist Elysiana (BECAUSE SLOW WARRIORS ARE FREAKIN' PAINFUL) and 1x Zilliax, since I sometimes had a hard time against aggro decks.
Now the deck has the heal, the combo, a meaner combo, no dead weight cards and an insane amount of burst.
Some pointers: Shadowstep is absolutely insane as a fuel generator. Overall, it's great to use on Heistbaron Togwaggle, but early game, without coin, there is an incredible amount of value to gain from EVIL Cable Rat and Novice Engineer. You can get off combo's at 3 mana cost without coin and a crazy potential of getting 2 times the value from spirit of the shark at turn 4. Obviously it works great with EVIL Miscreant as well.
Shadowstep is just so damn versatile. Another example is how I just killed a priest on 21 health in one turn with Spirit of the Shark + 4x "deal 2 damage" lackeys + 1x Shadowstep + Waggle Pick. That was fun alright.
If the opponent is extremely aggro, you heal up A LOT with Lifedrinker x2 and can do some shit with Zilliax as well.
If you face a giant mage or something similar, you want to discover spells to kill stuff with asap. Shadowstep + spell discover lackey + Spirit of the Shark is 4 spells, choosing between 12 cards. You'll find what you need.
