Well, not sure how everyone went with their Boomsday packs, but I did pretty amazing. 13 Legendary cards from the pre-order and freebies. I was expecting 7, maybe 8. The secret Blizzard Pixies may have praised me though; the day before I opened some GvG packs until I got a legendary. Purchased a 15, 7, 7, 7 before I cracked my pity legendary: Malorne.
Didn't record anything on pc, simply used a pen and paper as work has picked up recently. For anyone interested, here's where my legendary cards popped:
Then after dusting all my extra cards (besides golds--which I may dust when wanting something--and cards I assume may be nerfed) I hit 5k dust. This felt amazing. I only started playing after Witchwood, and my collection is pretty limited. Having such a massive headstart with a new set really does rock. Would highly recommend it to any other new player, but it is quite a bit to drop if you don't have the dosh spare (and a lot if you're not sure if you like the game yet).
Hope everyone else had pretty decent luck too. Not sure which direction I want to spread my dust. Pumping dust into Druid is tugging at me (it's such a powerful class!) but outside of Boomsday, I have no legendary and minimal epics (Force of Nature, Ancient of Lore, and Ancient of War). I cracked one Dreampettle Florist but completely missed Juicy Psychmelon. So yeah, could be quite expensive to build anything decent. Flobbidinious Floop can't give me all that much value in standard right now. My original intention was to craft DKs Jaina, Rexxar and Gul'dan, then The Lich King. I'd even been thinking about Ragnoros and Aya Blackpaw for wild.
Anyways, had an absolute blast playing with the set before work yesterday. Will hopefully get a few games in today too. Thought I'd share the decks I put together with Boomsday. Keen for feedback and what the good people of Hearthpwn think. Will post in a comment.
Alright, this one isn't quite Boomsday. But I did make it the day before Boomsday's release. I think Hobgoblin works well in Odd Pally making extra threats when the opponent keeps boardwiping. Worked well with a bit of playtesting, keen to hear if anyone else has played around with this.
Test Subject plus Zerek, Master Cloner. Enough said. Yet to actually hit the big guy playing this, but it seems to go alright except against other priests and druid.
Another obvious one. Hopefully it's not what everyone's already seen. I've seen similar things getting around. I'm thinking this alone would be reason to craft the DK.
Hopefully they don't all look too obvious, but I've had some fun with these builds. Couldn't get any wins with Druid (I tried Treeant, and got a whizbang deck, both sucked), Rogue (tried deathrattle and pogoshuffle builds, but just couldn't work for me. I've seen pogo work really well with for some opponents. I just can't get the right cards in hand!), or Warrior (went all out mechs, but think I need to change my strategy). Had a little success with elemental shaman, but it felt a bit janky. Also built a weird mage setup with the legendary cards, decent sized minions and spells, and Archmage Arugal. It won a few games, but not worthy of sharing.
Again, keen for any feedback on the builds I've made. Also interested in hearing what everyone else is toying with at the moment.
Those golden legendaries at the top had me mesmerised haha, also i thought new players didnt exist, good job getting in on it OP and also unlucky getting caught up in it
I really love your dedication for Hearthstone. I've read somewhere that you are MTG player. Keep it up man! I'm glad you are enjoying the game and deckbuilding :P

They are quite pretty! Yeah, we exist. I don't know whether getting into it is good or bad. Consuming a lot of time, but I'm definitely enjoying it!

Cheers mate. Yeah, been playing MtG on and off for about 6 years. Absolutely loved the Ixalan sets, but the 2 new ones haven't really grabbed me. Boomsday, on the other hand, I'm loving! Just augmented my standard Odd Pally deck to run magnetics+Mechano-Eggs+Kangor's Endless Army. Insane. Much more effective than the wild Hobgoblin deck I mentioned earlier. Don't have Zilliax in my pool, however Stonehill Defender has handed me the magnetic lifestealing mech more frequently than Sunkeeper Tarim! Very brutal backup for Odd Pally.

Didn't record anything on pc, simply used a pen and paper as work has picked up recently. For anyone interested, here's where my legendary cards popped:
Free - Stargazer Luna
Pre-order 1 - Floop's Glorious Gloop
Pre-order 2 - The Boomship
Packs:
1 - Electra Stormsurge
19 - Myra Rotspring
32 - Whizbang the Wonderful
38 - The Storm Bringer
43 - Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
49 - Luna's Pocket Galaxy
83 - Zerek, Master Cloner -- at this point, I thought, alright, one more.
84 - Kangor's Endless Army -- the next pack had me fall off my chair laughing. 2 Legendary cards in a row :O
109 - The Solarium
130 - Flobbidinous Floop
Then after dusting all my extra cards (besides golds--which I may dust when wanting something--and cards I assume may be nerfed) I hit 5k dust. This felt amazing. Make big mechs. Bring them back! A bit straight forward, but I'm yet to run into anyone else playing it yet, so thought I'd share.
