I want to throw in a positive thread into the mix of Hearthpwn. I like reading these more.
Name three cards from RoS: One in which you were expecting to be good and was, one you thought would be bad but was good, and one that disappointed you. I'll start first!
I'm really satisfied with Barista Lynchen. I was hyped when I saw her and I don't regret insta-crafting her. She's insane with Lackeys and even copying just one card is enough to justify her value. She did not let me down.
I was surprised with Hecklebot. I did not think that he would live up to the famous Dirty Rat, but I'm pretty okay with throwing him in a deck. He's hilarious to play after you opponent plays a Doomsayer and his 8 health Taunt body on turn four is nothing to mess around with. I like it.
I'm disappointed with EVIL Conscripter. He's not bad per se, but I thought that he wouldn't be as slow as he is. I guess I over estimated the power of Lackeys, but I'm not really a fan of him as I thought I would be.
Archmage Vargoth - I really thought this would be a total build-around game changer. And it is.....in Wild. I've not really seen it in any ladder deck where it made a meaningful impact. I ranked it 5 stars...it's really more of a 2 or 3.
Oblivitron - I was convinced this card was trash. The meta is slow enough that it's actually seen some play and been a lot of fun to try and build around.
Heistbaron Togwaggle - I thought this would be more of a build-around card. I should have learned by now. The best Rogue is Tempo Rogue.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I'm satisfied with Arch-Villain Rafaam. I thought he'd just be somewhat good, but he's been really helping me out in some of my zoo matches.
I was pretty surprised with Magic Carpet. I thought it was gonna be pretty bad, but I underestimated the power of giving lots of cards a bit more attack and rush. I had a crazy game where I was able to fill up my board with Carpet and a bunch of minions, then the next turn I dropped a Cult Master and traded off all my small minions while also cycling any 1 drops I drew since they got rush. The turn after that I was able to play Rafaam turning my mostly full hand into random legendaries.
Took me a while to think of card I was disappointed with, but I guess I'd go with Plot Twist. I thought the deck with the Warlock legendary, the portal demons, and Plot Twist would be cool, but it just doesn't work out well. Luckily, the portal demons are fairly ok on their own.
(Side note: I have been enjoying using EVIL Conscripter in a silly Priest deck I made with Princess Talanji and Deathrattle stuff. It's probably one of the cheapest deathrattle cards that I feel fine targeting with Shadowy Figure)

Do you have a recipe for a deck with Magic Carpet? That sounds like a fun deck to try!
Satisfied : Waggle Pick - I was expecting it to be really really good, and it is.
Surprised :Unseen Saboteur : I thought it would backfire a lot more than it actualy does. It's actualy a safer play than dirty rat in a lot of situations.
Disappointed: Arch-Villain Rafaam . crafted it to counter bomb warrior at first, I honestly regret it. It hasn't won me a single game. If I need a hail mary, I'm better off using Jaraxxus. (or even reckless rocketeer in zoo...;)
unseen saboteur is op if timed right cause its not just against combo decks, it stops token druids. if u have warpath in hand cast it and either they blow out soul of the forest, whisps or that 8 mana spell. and u just clear it. perfect
Surprised: Oblivitron is better than I thought. I initially believed it was hot garbage. I still don't *like* it, but it's definitely playable.
Disappointed: Swampqueen Hagatha has been a bit of a bummer. There are so many terrible shaman spells, and they come up a lot more often than I'd have thought.
Satisfaction: Keeper Stalladris. Incredibly versatile card, from Jade Druid to Eggro Druid. Partly a surprise really.
Surprise: Magic Trick. Yes, tutored Discovery is THAT good (and fun!).
Disappointment: Mana Cyclone. Randomness is hardly good enough, no matter the Tempo of the generator.
This is a bit off topic but I'm curious...
I have been trying to make an egg druid list work... They have all been failing. I can't find a good list. What's yours? How is it going?
I have no final claims to make about Eggro, but Stalladris is definitely great in there, considering Living Roots: both Tempo and Value in that case. In the worst case (on curve), fair soft taunt.
The version i was trying to make is less Egg and more Token (because being fast&wide pays more than being resilient in Wild, imo).
Surprised: Dimensional Ripper - Try building Even Recruit Warrior with Archmage Vargoth. Not really tier 2, but I think It qualifies as tier 3. Also, it's hell of a fun to play and pull Dimensional Ripper into 2 Vargoths into 4 big drops (and it's not that rare).
Dissapointed: Heistbaron Togwaggle - I were saying in the forums that this card will be rather bad/normal, got some hate for it, but was sticking to my word. Deep down I wanted to be wrong, but... "DJ Khaled, Suffering from Success"
Satisfied: Vereesa Windrunner She just kind of works without breaking the game, which is all I ever wanted. It's just nice to see Hunter get relevant legendaries that don't need to break the game to be good
Surprised: Oblivitron I mean I was hoping it would work, but...it's legitimately good. like....actually good. Basically card predictions are useless because some cards just cannot be accurately rated without having seen them in play.
Disappointed: Blastmaster Boom not because he's bad...but because he's just as good as I feared. Back when Standard was first announced I actuallly DE'd all my Wild cards just ´because I never wanted to play against Dr. BOom again...now he's back, he's better and he's in a tier 1 deck....by god I hope they nerf him somehow because I'm not sure I can stand 2 years of this guy
Happy - Arch-Thief Rafaam. he looked awesome, is awesome. I like a good bit of RNG and I also love Zoo-Lock. The last few gens have not interested me so much though, and I had yet to get proper use of my The Soularium until now. This card gives Zoo the best access to the late game it's ever had (or at least to the best of my knowledge).
Granted I've not played even half of the cards yet, but so far this is one of my favourites.
Surprised - Keeper Stalladris I really wasn't sure whether to craft this guy at first. druid is a relatively unknown class for me, I wasn't sure how powerful the "choose 1" cards really were anyway and whether it was going to be worth a craft.
Well after playing around with Token druid with the portals, I realized that this card is invaluable to a deck that wants to maximize on handsize. I feel it's sometimes less about what you're getting back, and more about just filling up your hand. Has strong synergy with Wispering Woods.
He is also just a solid 2 drop anyway, so he is always going to be playable (an expensive 2 drop to craft, but when they can just be played on curve anyway without any fallback, then I think this counts as a good card)
Disappointed - Nothing yet TBH. I've not played enough of the cards. The ones I have played I have enjoyed. I think this is a great set, and one of the most chill metas in while. I think the removal of the odd and even stuff has really opened the door for some things that would have not survived otherwise.
If I had to pick something, it would be that we still have not had a Booty bay themed expac (one can hope though)
What could be better for a fan of fast and aggressive decks than a whole Pirate themed expac (and a greenskin hero for rogue)
Same with Hagatha. It's a card that either really helps win the game or is completely usesless. So many shaman spells are very situational, and the one turn wait before you can cast it makes it even harder.
Satisfied: Archivist Elysiana - amazing value in control decks. Extending your deck with Baleful Banker is as good as I expected.
Surprised: Khadgar is intresting case. I knew that he brings huge value, but I would never expect Summon Mage to work. I have to admire - I was wrong. Conjurer's Calling + Mountain Giant is a control slayer. Drawing cards with Book of Specters and having The Coin is very often insta win against control.
Disappointed: Nozari and dragon package (or lack of it). When I saw it, I was like: "OMG! NEW RENO! CONTROLL PALLY IS BACK!" Heh. Nope. I didn't see a single person playing it in the game. Mb with extra neutral dragons it could be playable?
Satisfied: Khadgar not-necessarily-op legendary, with a pretty-okay effect. Saw him, didn't expect anything amazing from him, and haven't been disappointed or absolutely blown away by him yet so... fair enough I suppose
Surprised: Jepetto Joybuzz when I first saw the card I was like... who... and why?.. But this man has seen play in a couple decks... Though I have to say, when I saw him I was thinking Blizzard had an idea to do something cool with deathrattles, disappointed to see that go up in flames
Disappointed: Madame Lazul - there was a non-legendary that almost did the same thing, with one additional HP .. and this is "legendary" Commander Rhyssa: Stats are pretty lack-luster, and only really has synergy with about 45% of paladin secrets (summon one extra 2/1 isn't anything to write home about, and doubling up on divine shield is literally pointless)
Also, any late game cards, Blizzard keeps catering to aggro players making stronger and stronger low-cost drops each expansion, and giving the large drops some lack-luster effects, so even if you get the chance to play them, they basically afk on the board while you die the following turn
Also, Leeroy Jenkins and Divine Spirit wasn't put into Hall of Fame or at least given a +1 - +2 cost increase, to put some sort of balance to them... so... there's that...

I used this one from hsreplay: https://hsreplay.net/decks/zBIJy80UbyGGAPvK2OAhsd/
But I swapped out the 2 Abusive Sergeants for Witchwood Imps because I like them better. And 1 Mountain Giant and The Soularium for a Cult Master and EVIL Cable Rat, since I didn't have those cards. Cult Master has definitely won me a game too, and the bit of extra lackey generation is kind of nice.
This is a bit off topic but I'm curious...

Satisfied: Khadgar -- I knew he'd be incredible, and he is.
Surprised: Eccentric Scribe -- seemed just OK, but it's better than that, especially in Arena.
Disappointed: Dragon Speaker -- it's sad that even such a ridiculously big buff can't make Dragon Paladin work.
