Three expansions per calendar year is just too much. The ideas for this expansion feel like they just threw a bunch of random ideas from a chalk board into the game without any analysis. Expansion - Adventure - Expansion was perfect. The adventures were usually fun enough considering they're single player and the adventure sets always included some staple meta Legendaries and other at least very useful cards.
But hey, Blizzard is greedy and wanted another expansion so this is what we get.
10k Gold and I doubt I will spend it all but do keep in mind the good cards have not been released yet! :)

They slow-rolled the best stuff in the KFT previews so I’m sure there are a lot of good cards left. Personally I think plenty of the revealed cards look cool/good/fun. Yeah the legendary weapons aren’t as flashy as the DK heroes or the Un’Goro quests, but they’re still neat and I’m sure a few of them will wind up being in top decks. Every expansion has a lot of cards that wind up being played so if you’re the type of player who does spend money, you may as well preorder and get the deal and card back.
Sadly Im in the “ive got every card back why stop now” category. Will probably save my gold for next xpac since it will be around for 2 full years and just run with these 53 packs.
When Brode releases OP cards like UI or Anduin players complain. Yet when he doesn't follow up with that in the next expansion (As far as we know with what has been revealed) players complain that we weren't given more OP cards that they will complain about.
Expansion after expansion, people call it the worst ever when they haven't seen everything. If you contribute to this blind mind with doubts that aren't 100% existent (you can't really call something bad when you haven't seen everything), if you're actively doing this, you shouldn't really be posting or complaining. You don't know enough to have an opinion about the expansion, and because of this, your complaints are forfeit by default.
No one gives a shit if you think it's a bad expansion.
The problem that I have seen in hearthstone new expansions is this. 80% of the card are garbage, 20% of the cards are good in which a few of the cards in the 20% end up being broken as hell. Pretty much every single expansion has been labelled as "The worst expansion ever" mainly because we tend to see most of the garbage revealed first.
In every single new expansion there has always been comments saying the expansion is going to suck, worst expansion ever, not wasting money on this expansion, not going to have an impact on the meta and every single time there are cards that fly under the radar, labelled as bad by the community and ended bending the meta over. It is like a repeating cycle, community initially unimpressed by card reveals, community says expansion is going to be the worse expansion ever, a new card ends up proving much more stronger that what the community originally thought it would be, a new deck comes forward and proceeds to break the meta, look at prince keleseth for example.
The grand tournament was probably the weakest expansion we ever had in hearthstone and it ended up spawning secret paladin, somehow and some way there will be a broken deck because of this set, at this point its pretty much guaranteed.
I don't know what you're talking about. For Old Gods, Ungoro, and Knights to an extent most people were extremely excited about how great the set was. Especially for Ungoro. No one said it looked like the weakest expac ever.
You are right Grand Tournament was likely the weakest released, but this one doesn't look like it's going to change the meta much and most revealed cards blow. The legendary weapons are a let down too since everyone is just gonna run ooze and harrison, maybe both. Imagine if there was an ooze that deleted your Ungoro quest, it would have killed those quests off entirely.
I didnt preorder this pack yet but I'm still considering it. It'll likely depend what else warrior and paladin get since those are my jam.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
It's almost like the playerbase isn't a monolith or something. I never complained about those cards. I hate Anduin but I think it's fine he's in game. I'd much rather have many amazing fun cards than ones that won't be played.
I bought it. It's the first pre-order I have made for an expansion (I got the karazhan adventure though as that disco-ball cardback was sweeeet)
I'd have pre-ordered more tbh, but these were the only times I was playing the game and the chance came up to do so.
I don't think it looks bad at all, and I'm quite into the D&D parody.
I also think that there are bound to be some essential cards in there that will break the meta, although I am hopeful that it won't completely nullify the cards I crafted when I came back to the game from the past 3 expansions as well.
I really do love the fact that the meta is kept fresh with these expansions, as at this point the same 3 decks completely trounce the rest like 80% of the time. That being said I think that Priest will only get stronger, and Jade Druid will continue to shine... Just not sure about tempo Rogue and whether a new secret variant is going to outshine it.
I'm really hoping that Warlock gets to shine at the top this time around as I really do love me some warlock.
Also the cardback is pretty sweet IMO, I mean it doesn't really thematically fit with many of the character skins other than the magni warrior skin (dawi are renound for having a love affair with gold and treasure, not sure if it's really the case in warcraft lore though)... I guess with Rogue quite possibly in a D&D sense as they often go treasure hunting.
It's up to you if you don't want to pre-order, but honestly I am looking forward to the expansion personally, and think some very interesting synergies are bound to be discovered.
oh, and yeah.... "NO TAKE CANDLE" (hoping for a candle themed kobolds CB in December, that would be pretty cool IMO)
yeah the cardback really sucks.....the WotG cardback was nuts...but this one...come on blizzard
I think the old gods one was the best from the time I've been playing, gutted to have missed that. The Last one was sweet, too.
What don't you like about the new one? I quite like it, Love the jewelled HS symbol in the middle. granted it doesn't really fit with many of the character skins, but I think it's cool enough for the collection and it would especially go well with the dwarf warrior skin and quite possibly rogue as well.
I'm with the nobody really cares if you pre-order. What is your argument? And, do you think Blizzard is going to release a set with all good cards? No, there is going to be some bad cards. And there will be some really bad cards. And there will be some really good cards. And you will end up still playing and this post will be irrelevant. So what is the point of this thread? Why don't you think of something else to waste time thinking about like, making money. Then we wouldn't have to hear about why or why not you don't have any.
People who are complaining about everything even about unknown things are chronic complainers. They are constantly seeking sympathy and emotional validation, that's why they are asking others if they feel the same.
Very interesting that usually this posts start with "I'm the only one who thinks..." This hide the core of this personality trait, insecurities. They fear to be alone, the outsider, the ugly duck. Insecurities are absolutely normal at young age, nothing wrong with that, they are part of the growing process.
The healthy approach is to accept these insecurities, to acknowledge them and in the end to transcend them.
On the other hand chronic complaining and constantly criticizing is like sweeping under the rug. You are feeding your insecurities and keep them in adulthood too. Bitching everything is not giving you real respect and validation from others, just a very volatile surrogate.

Not wasting a cent on this game, developers don't deserve it.

Well hey, we have Dungeon Runs
I kinda like what they're doing by adding single player stuff to expansions- more cards, more fun. Just make like a dragon and hoard some gold
Eventually I just get packs full of dupes and start piling up the gold for the next expansion anyway. Easy 40-50 packs without flashing any cash.
Lol, have fun with that.
The only reason I would spend money is if I got a giftcard for blizzard.net or if the preorder cardback looks nice
I dont like the preorder cardback, the dungeon run cardback which is free looks better.
BUT I do love this set, and that I dont buy 50 pack preorders because of the cards, I do it for min-max purposes. And for the cardback
Bakunter for next meta

Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.
I'm not wasting $50 on it. I'm happily paying $50 on it.
me, the cardback is not good enough.
need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.
Meee!
