A good neutral minion with silence? Better get rid of it, good call Blizz, make the nerfed Owl go with it once it inevitably sees play again.
Who will save us from magic now?
A Hearthstone staple. Silence is just so inherently powerful, that every deck should be considering at least this or the owl. Statwise, Spellbreaker is a much more efficient card, and I think perfectly balanced.
Easily a card that will continue to see play, and a card that a good player should always be thinking about.
spellbreaker: i'm the meta!
It returns. Thanks Voidlord.
Is it me, or he sounds like Anduin
The hero this meta deserves, the hero it needs right now
"Die, cube."
Does anyone know the voice actor for this card is?
To me it always sounds like a grumpy Anduin is talking.
Welcome back to the meta, Spellbreaker. You are very useful against Voidlord and those pesky Carnivorous Cube.
Seems to have a pretty good place in the current meta as more and more decks are running it. Really helps against warlocks, but can generally be useful against any class. Another plus is that it also has decent stats (at least compared to the Ironbeak Owl).
Ironbeak Owl +Mark of the Wild= 5 Mana
Spellbreaker =Same stats, 1 less mana
Blizzard approves
Mark of the Wild gives taunt
Paying 3 mana for a 2/1 with Beast synergy, or 4 mana for a 4/3 in stats...
Either way, Your Magic Shall Not Save You :)
Die, mage!
Welcome to the meta brother.
Now they should nerf this...
Your hoots shall not save you.
There we meet again, old friend! With [card] Ironbeak Owl[/card] becoming 3 mana, he will become the new replacement. :)
Ironically when Ironbeak Owl either gets booted out of classic or gets nerfed to oblivion....this should start seeing some use again.
