Thank you. I've been busy and without a computer. I have a tablet now, but I don't care to use this site on the tablet. Making a move to Maryland soon. Been working on a few things, including a Facebook page and a Youtube channel. Don't want to advertise that here too much, but here we are. Been working 16+ hours a day, 11 at my actual job and 5+ on my page, channel, and a number of other projects. I've been quite busy.
Working a lot, I haven't had much time to be here, let alone play Hearthstone. Pro-tip: Don't ever get a device with less than 32 GB internal memory. I had to uninstall Hearthstone from my tablet because I only have about 4-6 GB of internal memory to do anything with the fucking thing. Not happy. I'd just play Hearthstone on this laptop, but it's not mine, and Hearthstone keeps crashing whenever I play it on this shit laptop. So... I can't play Hearthstone at all, at least for a month.
If you have access to a laptop that isn't yours but also isn't shit, you can try what I did in collage, which is install HS and the launcher on a thumb drive
Hope things are going well. I suspected something along the lines of you getting picked up by blizzard to toil away for ridiculous hours when you seemingly fell off the face of the earth
Working Monday through Saturday has been super grating, considering it's mindless warehouse shit. I could say a lot about my issues with the place, but I'm saving that for when I get in touch with the BBB about how fucked that place is. Haven't been able to do much for myself with the little free time I have, so I've been using that small amount of time to work on the page and channel. I'm attempting to weave many projects into a massive push towards something that's still 9+ years away. If only it was Game Design that I've been at work on. A lot of what I'm doing could get me back into Game Design, as I could become entirely independent in my efforts.
We'll see what kind of fruits are bore from this after long enough.
I don't watch GoT much. I only really like the Hound. I was satisfied with the Hound's end. It felt right. After all his suffering caused by his Brother, I can say with relative certainty that this was the best way for the Hound and the Mountain's story to end. Neither survives. The Mountain should thank his Brother for ending his imprisonment in that ghoulish shell. The Hound gets to press his Brother's face to the fire with this last clash, and I couldn't be happier with his this wrapped up.
I don't know what all is wrong with this current season, but a lot of people are complaining, so there must be something the matter. Sorry if you all are disappointed, but I got what I wanted, which is good enough for me. I'm not in a position to claim anything about the show in its current condition, aside from the Hound's end and how I feel about it. It just feels right to me.
Welcome back my dear friend! Long time no see!

The art style of Hearthstone cards being changed breaks the feel of the card being for/in Hearthstone. A complete shift of art style would make the card hard to look at because of how different and awkward the contrast is between both styles. I wouldn't want to play with Hearthstone cards with an almost completely different art style.
Originally had it in mind to make this a 1 mana 2/2 minion with a Battlecry that summons Lorewalker Cho for a random player, but opted for this instead.
Looking over the cards you've made, I love how different everything feels when contrasted with established ideas and themes. You're really going far out. The cards look strange, considering the program you're using, but I enjoy looking them over because they make me chuckle. Even though I don't entirely take what you've made seriously, I really am enjoying what you're producing. The pictures of real things that you were using felt off, and I almost didn't want to look at anything else, but I'm glad I did.
As an idea/suggestion for your pirate themed cards, I feel it's fitting to create some sirens and shipwrecked characters. Hell, I'd love to see some coconuts and monkeys. Sea creatures would be cool, too. Giving Warlock a spell that gives a character Scurvy also feels right. If you create some siren cards, they feel most appropriate to me in the Rogue, Priest and Warlock classes.
CypherBenkes, you did an Awesome job here. This inspires me to build a card gallery like you too. However, my progress is slow, only 4 cards in Day 1, and I truly support your effort here. Cheers!
I've been working for a while on customs and have always had a taste for trying my hand at something I'm only partially involved in. I intend on working with Blizzard one day, but who knows. Maybe I'll end up working with another company that is working on a card game. One may never know.
I wish you luck and ask for a link here to your thread, if you have one. If you don't have one, please do not forget my request. I'd love to promote you here for a moment, as I can tell you have a taste for this as well. It's an arduous process, creating cards, especially as many as I have. I look forward to seeing your work. Thanks for the kind words.
Haven't really been able to use a computer much recently, and found a bit of time to create something new. Not a new concept, of course, but one I wanted to publish myself. Been thinking about creating a fourth MADStone set lately. Might make a move on that soon. Stay tuned!
I was just going to keep quiet about this because of Sinti's comment about how they just let Twist of Fate slide, but the more I think about this, the more irritated I get. Twist of Fate doesn't work because of how Overkill works. There are others who submitted cards for the week that have actual functional cards that deserve a spot among the other finalists, and yet, we're just going to allow a card that doesn't fit the criteria to just slide by. The card doesn't work whatsoever, meaning it doesn't make the cut here. Other entries deserve the spot. It's not the fault of the admins that someone was confused about how Overkill works, and it's not our problem that they (the creator of Twist of Fate) weren't completely clear on what Overkill requires to activate.
They should not have their entry here. Other people deserve that spot. Don't just give the creator of the card a pass just because you want to be nice. Twist of Fate doesn't belong here. If you're going to just let entries become eligible for a spot as a finalist just because you want to be nice, these competitions don't actually hinge on fairness, making actual rules to follow out to look like a joke.
Given the simplicity required for the game, more than 30 is bad, specifically for Hearthstone. Personally, I would love 40 card decks. I come from other card games, and I love having more cards to play. With Magic: The Gathering, 60 card decks can contain 4 copies of most cards. It equates perfectly with Hearthstone, considering it's a 2 card maximum for most cards, with a 30 card deck. It just works.
I've decided to do something a little different. From time to time, I will redesign a card that exists in Hearthstone currently. Harbinger Celestia has beautiful art. The problem is the opportunity to make Celestia shine was squandered. Because of this, and because I want more for Celestia, I've decided to redesign her. I was torn between the first and last played, settling on last played so that you can play Mirror Entity and get a copy of the opponent's first minion, with Celestia allowing for you to get a copy of their last minion as well.
