My phone has the 675 with 4gbs and it's a little laggy. Wouldn't go below 4gbs though the 670 might do okay

    Quote from samuellima91 >>

Much needed change to Tortollan Pilgrim but this will impact all other slower Mage decks as well. The fact that it now removes the spell instead of casting a copy makes it very bad in slower matchups. It will get you closer to fatigue and that's a big deal. I think this is going to have a really negative impact on HL Mage or any form of Control Mage. This change isn't as simple as it looks. The card might not even be worth playing in those decks anymore.

I think they could have just nerfed Twilight Runner to 6 or Overgrowth to 5 instead of Guardian Animals. It is also a Hunter card and this kills any chances of it being viable for the class.

I would agree with being a deep change though changing it to drawing a card also had benefits. Thinning your deck can be pretty good if you're not worrying about priest.

Hey! tried it out. It's really quite compelling. Great job. Is it bots right now or are you getting enough beta testers that it's live?

    Another useless salty thread.

The better point is that rez priest is completely unfun to play against. If you arn't playing a top tier deck you have to play a 20 minute game where you will always lose anyway since there is actually very little RNG in rez priest. It just wins the game and there is nothing you can do lol. Like what do you do vs priest if you're playing something that doesn't kill them or have constant threats like HL hunter? Say you are playing control shaman or control warrior? Not much. You can never win so forced to concede.

I've beat priest plenty of times with warrior. usually be aggressively going face

It seems like Priest and Paladin must have have their quests mixed up in the testing phase. Making Mummies would have been great for priest and Activate the Obelisk could have made Paladin healing more viable.

Yeah I thought that when they came out. made me think making mummies was probably too powerful in priest

I think damaging priest is still viable as a tactic. You just have to consider. Priests often decide to heal up for 2 mana instead of playing cards.

definitely it depends on what deck you're running I think. I just went to against a priest that kept spamming thank you just to take him out by good old fashioned face damage

Agreed that it's good. used it to streak to legend from 2 diamond with 0 Stars beating mage, druid, warlock and other demon hunters. I'd often find myself getting damage over the top... so don't concede early with this one. that's a huge mistake.

I just think there are a couple minions that are too strong in the current state of the game and I'm talking specifically about Red Whelp and Razorgore, the Untamed. Whelp can win you every game of the early game, giving yo ua huge advantage, and there's no counterplay for this. Razorgore in the other hand is absurd if you manage to pull it on the mid game, all those stats are almst unbeatable, the only thing that beats a gigantic Razorgore is poisonous murlocs. Razorgore is somewhat balance as he's usually a late gae unit but Whelp is too easy to get a triple early and if you do then that card carries you all the way through the mid to late game.

I rarely ever struggled against Whelp and I don't even like picking it.

You need to have at least 3 other dragons on board for it to be as effective as Kaboom Bot. So. Unless you play Ysera or maybe Rafaam or Millhouse, you are more likely to pick up a Kaboom Bot before you get your Whelp to be better, and the Whelp forces you into buying more dragons, which isn't really all that good or rewarding. Glyph Guardian and Steward of Time are just ok, and not really worth keeping. You are mostly looking for Bronze Warden if you want to stick with Dragons. And even then, there are not many dragon buffs available, making it difficult to keep up with other strategies. I have rarely ever seen someone succeeding with Dragons in the midgame.

Razorgore is kind of the same issue in the lategame: You need to have/keep 3 or 4 more dragons, which oftentimes isn't worth it, unless you get Kalecgos. Sure, a huge Razorgore is tough to beat, but to get Razorgore to huge stats takes time. It's not gonna happen often, and without support, he's too slow on his own.

Don't see much of a problem with either of them.

yeah though rg is decent with around 2 dragons if you get him early. he can bring you into the too 4 and you imorove your comp in the mean time

Imagine thinking that rolling is skill in bgs it’s RnG the mode is RnG your choice is where you put things is not cause you have control of it every thing else is RnG a streamer can tell me until there blue in the face that is skill and I just shrug and wonder what crack they are smoking.

     Cool. What's your MMR?

right? thinking that it's ALL rng basically short circuits your brain into not actually noticing the patterns and methods where you can make a difference. ie thinking it's just rng is a sure way to suck or not improve more

Red Whelp runs out of steam pretty quickly. Unless I hit early Kalecgos, I'm moving on from Golden Whelp not long after Tier 4. 4 or 5 damage isn't often doing anything relevant in the mid-late game, unless you're lucky enough to pick off Soul Jugglers or Packleaders.

yeah usually i don't get red whelp unless I'm rafaam... great for rafaam because rw can snipe better minions to steal

Don't worry, most of us understand that BG is just an RNG fiesta. Pay no attention to the "pros" thinking it's skill to roll the right minions in the tavern.

keep telling yourself that and never get better

model could be better but it makes sense to subscribe to get extras. it's not like you can't play it if you don't. firebat had a good idea though.. make skins for Bob or extra voice line packets. like a heckling Bob packet that you could turn on and off. or different boards. they certainly could do a lot to monotize it

with so many cards leaving I'm sure the meta will be quite different.... though some galakrond  decks contain most of their original cards. that being said i do expect things will be better than people think.  though with actual good cards last year it will probably be less then before. possible incoming nerfs to galakrond if it remains too dominant.

i figured it out... the game used to be Timmy (big demon, bran) and p perhaps spike oriented (learns the consistent builds and wants to win) and now it's more Johnny oriented where creativity is awarded. now the Timmy and spikes (probably mostly Timmy's at this point as spikes will eventually learn good builds) are mad because it doesn't fit their play style and thus they're losing.

for reference Timmies like winning with big stuff, spikes just like the competition and being the best, Johnny's like winning by being clever and creative.

How is the game rewarding creativity right now? You literally get 1-2 Cobalts to top 4. The issue most people are having with the game is that despite the card being a problem since this started (though overshadowed by some other strong cards like T4 Junkbot and T3 Watcher), and despite being about half a year in they haven't changed it. It's just about the only problem card left (Juggler can be very annoying, but from my experience demons still rarely get top spot, even with golden Juggler - they just don't scale as well as other builds, unless you get a dream opening like 1-3 Wrath Weavers and 1-2 Floating Watchers in the midgame to give you some big guys, while not taking many losses in that time, which is hard when you take early Wrath Weavers).

not sure why you think that. i win quite often without cobolt. sure if i pass it i usually take it but it has nothing to do with ability to get top 4. maximize leveling maximize stats, make smart trade outs, delay triples and position well and it's usually a top 4.
