This card is so fantastically good. Imagine recombobulating Argent Commander. You can throw out the crusader, trade away divine shield, then recombobulate him. 6 drops are pretty strong. If you got another argent commander, could you attack again?
Pretty lame in general, because no matter what you Recombobulate, its original stats can't be much worse than the 1/2 or 2/1 you're likely to end up with.
Shieldbearer -- at least it can hopefully soak a good hit before you buff its Attack with a Recombobulation.
Blingtron 3000 -- use the Battlecry, then fix the low stats -- although you'd better be combo'ing it with something else to get rid of your opponent's new weapon, too.
Leeroy Jenkins -- charge, then transform; but this still leaves your opponent with Whelps. At least your new minion can probably survive Whelp attacks.
Iron Juggernaut -- its stats aren't bad, but after the Battlecry is done, you can hope to turn this into a Sylvanas or something.
Anima Golem -- if you're about to destroy it anyway due to lack of other minions
7-Mana Targets
From this point on, pretty much everything has pretty good stats, so Recombobulating becomes less about stats (with some exceptions) and more about fully-healing a minion who's taken a lot of damage ... or just fishing for something awesome like a Ragnaros after you've already gotten a good Battlecry effect.
Ancient of Lore -- use the Battlecry, then fix the low stats
Cenarius -- his stats are good, but still kinda low compared to other 9's, so you can feel free to transform him after using his Battlecry
Lord Jaraxxus -- if he got Voidcaller'd onto the board and you would really rather have more Attack at the expense of Defense
Alexstrasza -- her Battlecry is good, but so is her Attack, so only transform her if her health is low (or if your opponent just bounced a BGH back into their hand or something)
Recombobulating a Sea Giant effectively gives it +4/+4 (since it will always turn into Deathwing, as I understand it). That's pretty awesome considering how cheap Sea Giant can be to play.
Thaddius only gets +1/+1. Meh, better than nothing.
Beyond this point (the other three Giants), there is no point Recombobulating anything except as a way to heal it back to its original stats. Or get rid of your opponent's Blessing of Wisdom or something. Actually, I'm not sure what even happens when you Recombobulate a Molten, since there's no other 20-mana minion for it to change to.
I underestimated this card when it was announced. I predict that it will be in a LOT of decks. There are just so many combos and so much value to be had.
One question: what happens if you use Shadow Madness and then recombobulate the minion you stole?
Steal a minion from your opponent using "Shadow Madness" (Maybe use "Shrinkmeister" to even pull a more powerful minion), use Recombobulator .... after that you'll keep the minion! .. .profit! umm, what?
That's a crap-ton of value right there. I spent eight mana across three cards, and got removal (five mana?), two 3/2s (four mana), a six mana minion, plus 3 damage (two mana or so). Double your investment!
I've got Recombobulator and Force Tank Max in a deck right now too. I so want the combo. I mean there are pretty much only good 8 drops:
Ironbark Protector
Foe Reaper 4000
Gruul
Kel'Thuzad
Ragnaros the Firelord
Sneed's Old Shredder
Tirion Fordring
Al'Akir the Windlord
Grommash Hellscream
Only used him once so far but I turned my crummy Southsea Captain into a Felguard woot
Does anyone who has used him in Arena know if the cards he recombobulates are affected by Mana Wraith or Mechwarper, or the adjusted giant mana cost?
The problem with targeting wisps is the only options are another wisp or a target dummy. Since an buffed wisp is 1 health, your not even healing it

How about Defender of Argus? Bomb Lobber?
But here is the best one: Auchenai Soulpriest, Circle of Healing, Recombobulator.
0-Mana Targets
Nothing worthwhile.
1-Mana Targets
Pretty lame in general, because no matter what you Recombobulate, its original stats can't be much worse than the 1/2 or 2/1 you're likely to end up with.
2-Mana Targets
3-Mana Targets
As a side note, whenever you Recombobulate a 3-drop, you're praying for an Injured Blademaster ...
4-Mana Targets
5-Mana Targets
6-Mana Targets
7-Mana Targets

8-Mana Targets
9-Mana Targets
10-Mana Targets

played a force tank MAX.. recombobbed it.. got a Rag! .....get sum

[card]Recombobulator[/card] might be good on 8 mana cost : ( force tank max or
Ironbark Protector
)
most 8 mana are legandarys : http://www.hearthpwn.com/cards?filter-cost-val=8&filter-cost-op=3&filter-premium=1&filter-type=4&
umm, what?
nvm
I am trying out Recombobulators with this deck:
Edit: in my last game, I just Shrinkmeistered a Shieldmaiden, Shadow Madnessed her, attacked to do three damage, and then Recombobulatored into a Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
