I think repeatable effects like Unstable Evolution shoudn't be designed as single-target effects that can scale up or anything like that; they should be able to affect a single target multiple times with different outcomes, like evolving a minion into a Violet Teacher, which would proc off the next evolution, or a Charge minion, which would attack and then evolve again; or damaging a minion like Acolyte of Pain or Patron multiple times. While this card can be used that way (you could target the same minion over and over until it dies), it kinda feels like one of those you'd cast on as many minions as there are to kill, and even though Warrior has weapons and therefore, this is better in the class than it would be in Druid, it seems like a really bad card.
Hi all, wondering if this would proc off itself? I think it would so then it's op. Either way, i like the image/name/theme so how would you work it/balance it an is the text clear? It would only proc once per 'fill-up' (refresh - Kun the Forgotten KingAuctionmaster Beardo)
Yes it would. The idea is interesting but it needs a rework and you'll have to put a lot of thought into it to make sure it's balanced. Maybe it's not worth the effort.
I'm trying to decide between these three. Which one do you guys think is best? Just to clarify, if you give the Commander Taunt, its effect does not work on itself. It's a tricky aspect of this wording.
CANNON FODDER ("Throw" → Doomerang) - The card I've shown previously reworded accoding to Teknician's suggestion. The minion is now pulled from hand to justify using "throw" and artificially fit the theme (I have no shame). Cost reduced to 1 due to this restriction, and card made into a Hunter card, because it's the class with the most 1-Cost minions.
OVERLORD DRAKURU ("non-Rogue" → Ethereal Peddler + "Death Knight" → Arfus & The Lich King) - This is what the Rogue legendary should have been :(
AL DENTE ("excess" → Explosive Runes) - This is a card I plan to make for my Chef class for the CCC, however I don't know in which actual class it would fit best. Mage? Hunter? Warrior?
SEXY ASS-ISTANT ("Lord Jaraxxus" → Lord Jaraxxus, duh) - Just a card to boost your durability as Lord Jaraxxus. It has Taunt and heals you. It can also be used in a non-Jaraxxus deck since it's Goldshire Footman with a Demon tag.
Here's my idea. Based on Betrayal's wording "Force a...". Note that this says character instead of minion, so if your opponent has a weapon equipped, you can actually force them to use durability AND hit their own face. The art doesn't exactly look like a warrior card, but I think it'll do, as I found both the name and effect fitting for warriors.
This doesn't seem like a Warrior card. Maybe a Rogue or even Priest card? Priest has precendence of the Shadow Words as Attack-based removal.
Scour the Book: I like this card quite a bit but it is way too abusable with Malchezaar's Imp to draw a bunch of cards or the Quest to finish it instantly.
Tar Reaper: Warrior isn't know to be particularly zoo-ish, not to mention Warrior already had their own Tar Lord. I think it'd be better as a Paladin or Hunter card.
Parallel Dimension: WAAAAY too weak compare with Dead Man's Hand, not to mention Mage doesn't have discard synergy.
I like Come At Me, but confuse how does it work? Does the enemy just attack it on your turn? In what order? Left most? Most center? This card need serious clarification
Broxigar: I am very skeptic about this card since it is 9 mana, which the majority of 7-8 mana minions typically have a stat of 8/8 or is buffed by [/card]Bonemare[/card], which mean that it will trade evenly in most case scenario.
OK, reduce my card pool to just these two. Which one should I post:
Artemis's wording is based on Steamwheedle Sniper. Is used for slower Hunter decks in exchange for a weak turn 2 and inconsistent turn 1.
Blazing Soul is using the cast this again mechanic for removal and some serious face damage or summon multiple minions with Frost Lich Jaina. Reminder that the damage is +2 each time you ping off a minion this turn if you cast 2 of this.
gurabashi commander is the most interesting, it's probably one of those 3/4 4m minions, at least, could be too good still but feels like it would make for a new type of warrior build.
I like the trigger and flavour of last stand but the armor gain slot is a bit packed imo. How about a different result from the trigger, 'gain 4 attack' say, or 'damaged characters gain 2 attack', might be a bit savage roar like, but the token option isn't really there, at least.
Sweeping strike is too good, i believe. Like defile without the maths ;D
Scour the Books is interesting, but like a lot of other people have said, it's too dangerous. Specifically, it's abusable with Malchezaar's Imp and to a lesser degree, the Quest. It also has nice flavor that fits with Darkshire Librarian.
Tar Reaper is bloody awesome. I disagree with Zukuu, I love this. I'm assuming the effect also affects itself (pun not intended).
I see someone looked at my Time Traveler class when naming Parallel Dimensions. The effect is cool, but it also feels very slow and risky. By the way, you forgot Deathwing in your examples of "Discard your hand", which does not cost 4.Now to bring this to your attention:
How it works is that you get a choice of 3 Secrets. You select one and put it into play. At the start of your opponent's next turn, they get a Discover interface of Secrets with the exact same 3 options you got and select one. If they guess correctly, the Secret is destroyed. If they don't, you get a 4 mana 5/4 a free Secret that your opponent knows is either of the other two.
I seem to have run into a problem. I intended to submit this card:
But I am unable to show the card on the forums. I am still use the same hearthstone card generator that I always have so I am unsure what the problem is.
Edit: I fixed it, this is the image I was trying to upload
Changeling, Molten Ooze: Unfortunately, these cards don't work...there's a rule that states that your "word/phrase appears threeor less times in existing hearthstone collectible cards." They're cool, but unfortunately, they don't follow the rules...(sorry).
Frostbite Drake: Cool! It's a Shatter on a stick! The fact that it self-synergies with itself also makes it a nice one-two punch"destroy a minion" card. It's also a Dragon specifically, and I personally love playing Dragon Mage, so this would be a lovely addition to that deck. Additionally, something something Freeze Shaman shenanigans. However, it seems a bit strong when compared to Venomancer and Water Elemental. Maybe make it a 2/6?

Thanks for the feedback!Ooooooh! I absolutely LOVE that card! It has a lot of potential for some deceiving plays (i.e. picking the least optimal Secret to trick your opponent), and it forces your opponent to try to think from your mindset and consider the condition of the board. It's also just a fun guessing game like Curious Glimmerroot and Hydrologist are. It seems balanced when compared to Cloaked Huntress, Kirin Tor Mage, and Mad Scientist. I like it as a Hunter card because (I think) there are more different triggers for Hunter Secrets than Mage Secrets. Could be wrong though. If you want to go for power, maybe make it a Mage card?
@Lathy This name better, keep the other one or something else?
I think it'll do :) !
I've decided to go with a card I've had in the competition before. The issue is the cost. Now that each class has gotten a weapon, 1 mana seem to be too good. Is it better to make it 2-mana and change the weapon token to a 2/2? Or what would you suggest?

Despite it being pretty strong, it's still quite situational. I'd say raise the cost by (1) but you probably want to use it as an early weapon-equip. If so, maybe it's not that bad, but I'd look into it.
Also the name feels weird. You could try a name like 'Loot', maybe. i just think a single-word like that would fit the card better. That's just my opinion, though. It's no big deal, really.

Would an effect only present on a token generated by a collectible card, or only present on a hero power from a DK hero count as an effect of a collectible card, or not?

no, because you cannot 'collect' them (Sheep, Frog, Doom Pact, Ysera Awakens) can't be crafted with dust in your collection.
I don't think anyone saw my first post, so I'm posting it again.
I want early board clear cards like Maelstrom Portal and Lightning Storm to have a greater average effect, but I'm afraid this would only create otk or burn shaman decks.

"Our mage spotted one of these slithering down a corner and thought it would be funny to throw a Pyroblast at it. Bad idea. Very bad idea."
The phrase on the card is from Lorewalker Cho.

Now to bring this to your attention:
Undead archer on horseback (to imitate Mysterious Challenger).
Here's a link to the image if it doesn't show up properly. For some reason, it shows up fine when making the post, but not in the actual post itself.
I could also turn the card into a Mage or Rogue card and use this artwork instead:

Alright so I don't think any of my previous ideas qualified for this competition. So I came up with new ones, thoughts?
I Hex You! takes from Corruption and Corrupting Mist
Sensei Zhao takes the word Opposing from Dart Trap.
Can someone share their opinion. I would appreciate it a lot:
1) the health instead of mana price as a typical warlock mechanic
2) Swamp king dred's first sentence, followed by the steal mechanic in priest.
[edit] I remember I made this companion long time ago:
3) if I can use this card, I will replace lethal with fatal just how it is worded in ice block
I'd like a little input on a card or two I'm designing for the competition, reply or send me a message please!
I'd like a way to make Lightning Storm and Maelstrom Portal more potent in the early game at the cost of a card slot and a little Overload.

the Phrase is 'this turn only' from Innervate and Counterfeit Coin.
