maybe a shocker to many players here, but i can't say it otherwise
Sylvanas Windrunner never seems to do anything of worth. Sure, for the occasional big dude and you killing your own sylvanas, but how often does that really happen? i didn't even bother to include it in any deck for months & whenever i did before that it didn't do the job either. most often you play it when you're considerably behind and get smacked in the face regardless. the only reason i didn't consider disenchanting it yet is that it's such an iconic character and i can't bring myself to do it
Wait... why... are you... what?
Took the stuttering words right out of my mouth.
This cards forces so many bad trades for your opponent, often nets you a great minion and is a beast in Wild with all the activators now.

It's like saying Loatheb is bad because sometimes, the opponent doesn't play spells.
Still have this guy in Gold. He will never be disenchanted.
I feel for you, man! Handbuffing was even a cool idea, but it took them a while to realize how strong the cards had to be to be worth it (Soul Infusion)
I didn't craft her, but Countess Ashmore is the recent winner. So much hype that she'd be the new version of The Curator and I don't even remember the last time I saw her.
And while she has uses, Stargazer Luna is not the silly bananas thing that some of us, myself included, thought she might be for Mage.

I definitely bought into the Varian Wrynn hype hook line and sinker back on TGTs release. It only took a couple of games to realize that he was just a huge liability in the Control Warrior lists at the time. Either you plopped him down after aggro or midrange decks had ran out of fuel (and any other late game finisher would have served the same purpose) or you just dropped it into a board wipe against control decks with the side effect of putting you 3 cards into fatigue! wow!!!!!!
I'm on the Countess Ashmore boat, 1st craft of that expansion, thinking she'd probably be at Curator level...Curator's big advantage at 7 mana is the taunt...still, I have high hopes for that card, there's plenty of time to make her really strong, so I'm not that dissatisfied.
I'd say Varian Wrynn was a card I had the highest hopes and it failed miserably...I crafted it, played 100 games with it, had a 49% winrate and saw Warrior was better without it...had some games where it worked splendidly, but it was not enough...luckily I pulled Troggzor and Boom from packs so I didn't fall for the troggzor hype :D
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius. Don't get me wrong, the card isn't bad. However, seeing the insanity/underrated power of Hagatha the Witch I had some high hopes. Unfortunate, as the silly and random, but powerful when they align sort of cards are my personal favorite.
Rebuke. Give the best aggro class in the game a way to counter spell-based AOE removal? How could it not be great? Loatheb is considered to be one of the best cards ever printed!
Then I learned that *any* card that requires board control to be good that also does not directly affect the board is never as good as people think. If those two cards didn't shine, no card like that will shine.
As far as Standard goes there were posts here everyday about how the Dreampetal Florist, Juicy Psychmelon, Flobbidinous Floop package was going to break the game with Malygos and Togwaggle Druid. Lo and behold aggro decks reigned supreme... again.
The Marsh Queen - I thought Hunter would be the king of ladder.
Awaken the Makers - Sure the deck is alright and stuff but the deck really wasn't great when Un'GoRo launched.
Hallazeal the Ascended I have actually almost never seen this card played that it was originally in a deck. Didn't think card was op tho, only a good value card but never saw play.
Definitely Countess Ashmore. I crafted her thinking she'd be great but I have yet to find a deck where she shines and now I never use her. Maybe she'll find a good home after a future expansion is released.
I actually like her, admittedly got her for free, and the deck she shines in isn't too strong but incredibly fun (and she's actually one of the core pieces): Control/Emeriss Hunter. Here is the idea:
Use Emeriss to buff all 3, creating 8/12 scalehides and 8/10 applebaum
She's sort of like Kathrena, great glue for a deck that enables her power to shine but weak by itself. Unfortunately, Control Hunter hasn't been able to shine yet like Recruit Hunter has.
Do you have a deck list/code? I'd like to try this out!
My golden Lord Goffrey really feels bad now that I've begun to slowly build a control warlock afterall (what a moronic choice btw)
edit: sorry for potential OT
Why did you dust it? If I remember well, it was called as one of the best WW legendaries since the beginning... Maybe were you in desperate need of dust?

I find The Curator extremely useful in Wild Malygos Rogue and Wild Shudderwock Shaman. Try it out sometime, for real.
Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.

It’s not bad, but I thought biology project would be cripplingly good and make a Druid only meta. Hardly ever see it played.
Kel'Thuzad and Troggzor the Earthinator.

It is pretty damn OP in those Wild combo decks, though...

Idk if the highlights worked I wrote them manually from mobile.

Swamp King Dred the card seemed broken to me.
