posted a message on Reckless Experimenter Nerf
    Quote from MProdigy >>

Can't wait to possibly have my Spectral Pillager Rogue OTK (which is not problematic at all in wild) to potentially be killed due to them nerfing Mechwarper if the dumb new mech in town happens to get abused upon released.

But hey better to nerf old cards that haven't caused issues in the game just to create and release a new card that may cause issues down the line.

You’re right (assuming you’re being sarcastic). It’s obnoxious to fuck around with perfectly good cards because of one busted-ass card.  I mean, preparation is never the problem, but making cards that aren’t appropriately costed is.  If raiding party was 4-5 mana to start with, this whole fiasco with taking away part of rogues identity would have been avoided.

Prep was a design space problem card.  They nerfed it at probably the right time.  Now they can create better rogue spells than before.  It had to be balanced around prep.

On that same note, this allows them to create some better deathrattle spells without the potential problems of interactions with the experimenter.  This is a better long term solution.  It's also less awkward than trying to jam something into snipsnap like, 'This cards cost can't be reduced below 1'.  That would be incredibly awkward.

So not doing fantastic, but rogues were a terrible matchup for my dragon paladins.  Doing better now that they aren't so prevalent on the ladder.

This combo concerns me because it's a two card combo for infinite damage that only requires you to have a mech that can attack.  Unless I'm looking at this combo wrong you can attach it to a mech over and over again for 0 mana.

It's going to be rare to see it combo off on turn 4 but I see it more applicable with the stealthy squirrel mech.  Drop that on turn 8.  Unless the enemy has a board wipe you can blow out infinite damage with a mass dispel for good measure so you don't even have to worry about taunts.

posted a message on Elysiana nerf effectively does nothing

It makes it so that the only class that can pull off multiple battlecries with her in standard is shaman.  Shaman can't build up ten tons of armor so going deep with them feels less shitty and less like you can't win in any possible way.   Also the second round of Elys is random cards.

My control shaman package ran double hecklebots just to deal with warriors with Elysiana.  It will target what it's intended to target.  Bomb warrior is more vulnerable than control and control warrior is no longer king of control mirrors.

posted a message on Some thinks about standard format

I've responded to similar threads in more detail so I'll just throw out the TL/DR....

Rotating some standard cards would be good for the game.  Eliminating or replacing standard would not be good, would just make people angry.

How are the Mana Tides doing ? Wouldn't Far Sight be better for the potential high roll on Fountain/Hagatha things like that ?

In the current meta an 0/3 so rarely survives more than one turn I don't think it's worth playing.  I run barely any early game taunts or even minions so it's pretty much getting thrown out naked.  Far Sight is a superior card right now.

    Quote from Blightwolf >>

My favorite deck right now (in Standard and Wild!) is actually Big Shaman. Definitely a lot more powerful in wild, with Ancestor's Call, Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, and synergies between Kel'Thuzad, Ancestral Spirit and Reincarnate. However, I still have a lot of fun with the standard version. Really the only standard deck that I played since rotation. It just feels consistent and powerful.

Been meaning to make this deck, the version you get from whizbang is a blast.

Right now what deck is giving you the most joy to play.  It doesn’t have to be your best or even very good.

My favorite standard deck right now is either control shaman or bomb warrior.  I played bomb rogue after Boomsday dropped until they nerfed giggling inventor.  Having more cards that interact with the deck is fun to me.

Shaman games are just so different, room for lots of tech, and rarely do I run into a matchup I feel was unwinnable.  That and both Hagatha cards are a blast.  I have also enjoy the opponent’s rage quitting to the omega mind/scheme combo.

Lassy is OP, you cant die with it. The wording on the card INCLUDES if it died already (See Cthun's buffs working even if Cthun is dead)

So it can endlessly rescue you.

Thought so too.  Needs different wording.  Or deathrattle:  turns into a dormant dead ass dog.
