Welcome to the Big Recruit Warrior deck!
A special thanks to the user Darkseeker83 and his YouTube Channel for the awesome gameplay video! Be sure to check it out below! (Note: as of 4/13/20 this deck has been updated from it's previous version. The deck in the video is the original deck string but works and functions exactly the same)
Introduction:
Previously in the past, Big Recruit Warrior has been more or less a joke. With the Descent of Dragons expansion, I got bored and decided to throw together a similar deck just for casual play and for the fun of it. Needless to say, it actually exceeded my expectations. While that may have been the case, it still sucked (as expected), but what matters is it was actually pretty fun to play now and then.
The only thing that a big recruit warrior deck like this has struggled with in the past is early game board control and stalling until it can get some solid minions out. With the new cards for the upcoming expansion, I decided to take what I learned from the last deck and apply it. This time however I made sure to take advantage of a few more spells for early game, and a few really nice synergistic cards from Ashes of the Outlands. So, without further ado, let's get into the guide:
Deck Guide:
Mulligans:
Early Game and Mulligan Explanation:
It's pretty simple really, you want to take advantage of your lower cost spells and damaging cards to stay alive until you can get some bigger minions into play. Cleave and Sword and Board are great cards to get rid of tiny but aggressive minions like Crimson Sigil Runner or Flame Imp. For minions with more health, such as Northshire Cleric or Stonehill Defender, cards like Bladestorm and Kargath Bladefist (which also shuffles in Kargath Prime) provide quick fixes, or help finish off minions previously damaged. During this time, taking advantage of your hero power and cards that gain armor like Iron Hide, Shield Block, and Sword and Board are extremely helpful too. Bulwark of Azzinoth is nice too since it's a 3 cost weapon that can be used early game to prevent damage coming your way, pretty nice for a little bit of stalling until you can get some big boys in play.
Mid Game:
Hopefully by now you have a mulligan Gather Your Party or drawn it. The faster you can start recruiting minions the better. If this isn't an option, minions like Damaged Stegotron, Zilliax, and Mountain Giant (assuming you've accumulated enough cards in your hand to decrease it's cost enough) are effective of enough plays too. Always always always pray for minions like Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, Silver Vanguard, and Scrapyard Colossus or minions like The Lich King to either recruit more minions at the end of your turn/once it dies or to add more play options to your hand. Other good recruitments are walls like Damaged Stegotron (which gets it's full 12 health) or charge/rush minions like Charged Devilsaur or Burly Shovelfist that can attack face/clear out some minions.
Late Game:
Dimensional Ripper is as good of a card in this deck as Meta Knight in Super Smash Bros Brawl. It doesn't recruit minions, it summons copies. Imagine playing this and getting two Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbounds, or two The Lich Kings. Even if it doesn't summon two big players like that you can still get two great minions from this deck. Two full health Damaged Stegotrons, two Charged Devilsaurs, or two Kargath Primes. Woecleaver, an 8-cost 3/3 weapon has insane value too. You can deal damage while recruiting and still have all your mana for other cards. The Boomship is absolutely insane in this situation too. If your hand is a little too full of high cost minions, you can basically throw 3 of them onto the board and give them rush to clear out minions in the way too.
This is an extremely expensive deck! If you don't want to devote a lot of dust for this deck, I will have a lot of suggestions at the bottom. However to have the most fun with this, Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, Woecleaver, and The Boomship are absolutely essential legendaries and the most crucial parts of this deck. Since this is mostly a fun deck, I recommend crafting legendaries that you will find use for in other scenarios (i.e The Lich King you can use in a Hadronox deck or Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound in a Big Priest deck).

Ideas for Wall Minions:
Gemstudded Golem, Lord of the Arena, Bonechewer Vanguard, Damaged Stegotron, Safeguard, Amani War Bear, Evasive Drakonid, Furious Ettin, Mosh'Ogg Enforcer, Giant Mastodon, Living Monument, Sleepy Dragon, Scrapyard Colossus, Wrapped Golem, Sunwalker, Khartut Defender, Hungry Ettin, Witchwood Grizzly, Direhorn Hatchling, Primordial Drake, Soggoth the Slitherer, The Lich King, Hogger, and Zilliax.

Silver Vanguard, Obsidian Destroyer, Dragonmaw Sky Stalker, Safegaurd, Scrapyard Colossus, Wrapped Golem, Mechanical Whelp, Dimensional Ripper, Sudden Genesis, Blatant Decoy, Splitting Festeroot, Big Bad Archmage, Oondasta, Sneed's Old Shredder, Kel'Thuzad, Hogger, Cairne Bloodhoof, The Boom Reaver, Dollmaster Dorian, The Boomship, and Woecleaver.
Card Generation card ideas:
Improve Morale, Dragon Roar, Bone Drake, Blood Warriors, Dead Man's Hand (there could be some interesting strategies with this, even if you only use 1 it add more big boys to your deck), Feugen and Stalagg, The Lich King, Ysera, and Chromaggus.
Other Honorable Mentions/Options:
Tar Lord, Corehound, Stormwatcher, Deranged Doctor, Supreme Abyssal, Anubisath Warbringer, Sea Giant, Beryllium Nullifyer, Foe Reaper 4000, Gruul, Ragnaros, Colossus of the Moon, Deathwing, Dragonlord, and Hakkar, the Soulflayer.
Thanks everyone!
Darkseeker nice video
Thank you :-)
You should consider swap out Supreme Abyssal for Burly Shovelfist cause the latter can instantly trade if recruited and it can always go face next turn. Nice fun deck anyway, you have my upvote.
Probably will make an update soon if I get more upvotes, but I can almost guarantee that change will be made! Thanks a ton for the suggestion!
Tried out your deck and it's fun as hell, I was missing the Lich King but I substituted it with Ragnaros, worked just as well and props for creating a big recruit warrior deck that actually works! :D
Other good legendaries you could sub are Ragnaros, Ysera, Hogger, Sneed's Old Shredder, Leeroy, Sylvanas, or even Kel'Thuzad :D
Is this deck worth crafting? Im missing few legendaries
Since this is mostly a fun deck, I recommend crafting legendaries that you will find use for in other scenarios (i.e The Lich King in a Hadronox deck or Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound in a Big Priest deck). For missing legendaries, there are also a lot of easy crafting options that work. Common cards like Deranged Doctor, Mosh'Ogg Enforcer, Living Monument, Sleepy Dragon, Burley Shovelfist, and Anubisath Warbringer have some great synergy. Epic cards like Splitting Festeroot and Big Bad Archmage are great options too if you want to commit some but not a lot of dust towards this. However, if you have the dust, Woecleaver, Y'Shaarj Rage Unbound, and The Boomship are the most crucial Legendaries in this assortment.
Thats a good point, I actually spent a ton of dust on Boomship and when you have a ton of 8/9/10 cost minions in your hand and don't have many other options than to play them, the Boomship does actual wonders. Puts 3 high cost minions on the board and gives them rush to take care of anything your opponent may have :D
I have zilliax, y'shaarj, lich king and boomship. Woecleaver is, obviously, not replaceble. I can replace deathwing with neutral deathwing or other big minion. But how about Kargath Bladefist and Bulwark of Azzinoth ?
Bulwark of Azzinoth is by not a fundamental aspect of this deck. While it is a very strong card in this assortment, I think it can easily be replaced with a second Shield Block or Iron Hide if you aren't looking to spend the dust on it. It works well because it can stall damage coming your way early game.
Kargath Bladefist, though not entirely necessary, is strongly recommended. Decks like this struggle greatly in early game and it's a card that can be played as early as turn 4 that also can take care of pesky little minions. On top of that, his deathrattle has huge synergy with the rest of the deck since he shuffles Kargath Prime in with the rest of your big minions. He's an 8 cost with Rush and the added benefit of helping you gain armor. This means he can also be recruited by Silver Vanguard. Assuming 2 copies are summoned with Dimensional Ripper, the worth on him is quite substantial in almost every case he's put on to the board.
Woecleaver, unfortunately, is also very important. I say unfortunately because most people dusted the card upon receiving it. I personally always liked it, so I never dusted it when I got it for free with Kobolds and Catacombs. It is one of the staples of this deck, and gives you an three chances to recruit minions. However, as I said before, this is mostly a fun deck. I would hate to see you use up a bunch of dust when it could be better spent toward the current meta.
If you're looking for suggestions to replace minions with other options, I recommend looking towards the bottom of the deck guide. There are more than enough suggestions down there.
Thank you for your exhaustive answert, i really appreciate it!
