I just beat you in heroic! You were the hardest and final boss i played.
Has some fun uses with Roll the Bones and Book of Specters.
After patch 12.0 (the one that modified card copies and transformation effects) this card is a pseudo-win condition in Quest Druid, getting one or several copies of your minions that also cost 0 is bonkers. Chromaggus at 0 followed by UI is game most of the time.
Odd, the new patch has introduced a bizarre lag period after your turn starts and Chrom's effect takes place; his animation plays, but then 3-5 seconds pass before your cards are actually drawn.
Same with mimic pod, very weird
Great if you can draw.in the same turn, like in priest or rogue.
Heal + Forbidden Shaping gives me chromaggus 90% of the time:) Really diggin' it as a priest!
A druid used naturalize on this to me once, little did he know I still get the duplicates of the 2 cards
Wilfred Fizzlebang does not affect the cards you get rite?
I made a test and No it doesn't
With a dose of Emperor Thaurissan, the combo of this and Divine Favor is deliciously evil.
Yea, im really glad i wont see it play.....
The number of times I got to play Chromaggus followed by Lay of Hands gives me the giggles. Most of the time duplicating midrange paladin cards ends up being very useful in the late game. Antiques, Tirion, Owls, Aldor Peacekeepers, etc
Amazing card with great value. Unfortunately due to the fact that Dragon mechanic still is not supported as it should be, it has been put away and hasn't a slot in the decks. Maybe (I wish) in future exp or new cards releases this can be a Top Value card.
This + Life Tap in turn 10...
ysera cant be killed by either shadow word, where as this can be killed by shadow word death
Shadow Word: Sw:pain is my favorite card.
I don't know what the situation was back then, and I haven't checked the statistics here, but I'm pretty sure Death sees more play than Shrinkmeister right now. Chromaggus is for sure worse than Ysera vs. Priest, at least these days.
Provided he isn't polymorphed or hexed, Chromaggus is a great addition to Druid mill decks. Duplication is INSANELY powerful for mill decks, especially if granted on cards that actively mill. If you want to see this logic in action, look at the gang-up rogue. Say you duplicate both of your Naturalizes, or a cold light oracle and a brewmaster. You've essentially gotten eight cards worth of card draw between the copies and the original, which alone is enough to A. Fill a hand into milling range from empty, and B. Take 8 cards out of the opponent's deck, almost one-third of the way to victory. Even if it gets another form of removal, or a taunt below 5 mana, it slows down the game, which is what a mill druid needs. He sucks vs. Mages and Shammies, but is great vs. Paladins, whose "removal" of humility will backfire with such a powerful active at the end of every turn.
