Blizzard: Soulpriest and Velen give priest too much burst damage, we're HoFing them.
Also Blizzard: gives a similar combo to the single most maligned class in the game.
This card is the most broken OTK I have ever seen in hearthstone. I had lethal next turn no matter what and 22 HP. He slaps it down with 2 Mo'arg Artificer... hits the one in the middle for 2 (yes 2...) damage and hits me for 24 HP? I call BS. If this card isn't nerfed I will lose any desire to continue playing when I see a DH. Auto-concede every time? Not cool man.
I agree! Same for me. Disgusting.
Seems like a solid, well-rounded card. I think fairly often you can just play this early and take big chunks of health off your opponent on turns 5-6 with Aldrachi Warblades and attack buffs if they don't have the tools to immediately remove it.
Later in the game you can obviously use it as a finisher.
Don't forget that it also allows you to deal damage directly to your opponent while attacking their minions. In some cases that means you can deal solid damage while removing dangerous minions, in other cases you can use it to secure lethal even if they're protect by taunt.
This makes me scared. Should be a weird threat.
This is beyond broken 3 mana 2/2 life steal weapon was already good especially with dhs ability to Gain attack now rye 4 mana 3/5 with life steal will see play without a doubt. Even cards like soul cleve may be good with this
broken card.. 5 stars out of 5, this will be in every DH deck
This card seems to be average at best.
DH struggles vs big minions. This card does nothing vs paladin healing+overstatted taunts,
or vs warrior and big/divine shield minions. And vs other classes this is not needed at all so hardly 5 out 5.
Also DH is not best class for multi-card combos because souls can screw your skull.
that why demon hunter have silenced cards and yes combo like twin blade+ blade dance to clear boards.
How many ways can this card be buffed right before you smash face?
Probably it won't be that big of an issue, because DH has quite limited usable Lifesteal. Maybe they will get more tools this expansions, but for now, it's pretty much only Aldrachi Warblades
This + Maiev Shadowsong on turn 8, on turn 9 Aldrachi Warblades, on turn 10 boost your attack as much as you can (you need 13 more attack). You can use Inner Demon twice if you were lucky with Skull of Gul’dan, or maybe you can somehow set it up with Glide
If we don't get any more life steal, I doubt this'll do a whole lot. There certainly will be big games where this goes far, but it's clunky and inconsistent. It'll be played with, but unless there's more support, it might be like glide again.
Okay, hang on. So... How hard is it for this card to do absurd damage? That's the question you have to ask, because as a 4 mana 2/6 with 'also damages the enemy hero when it deals damage,' it's extremely underwhelming.
First thing is that it's an investment of 4 mana, which is pretty big. Let's say you do a pair of Soul Cleaves: That's 10 mana, 8 damage, a bit of board work, 3 cards. Way too much to get so little. Alternately, you use a pair of Eye Beams, (outcasted, of course) and get 6 damage, some board work, 3 cards, 8 mana. Better, I think, but still not good enough. Aldrachi Warblades, meanwhile: Here we get some interesting stuff. You can go face with them, for one thing.
So, let's say you run both twin-slices: That can easily be 10 damage on your weapon (8 mana), for 20 damage face. Now, that is runnable; it's not a full OTK, but Demon Hunter always loves ways to deal absurd amount of damage in a single turn. Heck, if you can generate one more twin slice, you can get a full 28 damage on 10 mana.
The weakness, of course, is that relies on them not having taunt, or absurd armor, or etc. The strength, meanwhile, is that Demon Hunter does tend to eat away at the enemy HP before they get the kill, so there's a pretty good chance that 28 (or even 14) will still work just fine.
Now, the alternate way of dealing absurd damage is using Mo'arg Artificer, twice, and Soul Cleave, twice, for a full 32 damage... For 14 mana. Yeah, you're gonna need some kind of manacheat for that to work (Probably Emperor Thaurissan) and 2-4 enemy minions (depending on their size). However, I fully expect to see it in wild by the end of the week when Darkmoon Fair drops. For a cheaper version that isn't a full OTK, you can use outcasted Eye Beams (for 10 total mana) that should deal a full 24 damage for 10 mana (If your enemy isn't giving you minions to work with, BTW, you can still get a full 18 by targeting your Mo'args)
Additionally, I would like to predict that someone will get Tidal Wave while having this on the board, and completely annihilate their opponent in a single turn (Not any time soon, but the combo is too powerful for nobody to ever freak out because they got it). It will be very funny, and basically impossible to replicate.

Surroundings: I'd also like to point out that we've just gotten Expendable Performers, and, to a lesser extent, Renowned Performer (Truth be told, I'm not sure renowned performer will see non-arena play, but it's worth bearing in mind). Both of those are tools that aren't designed to smOrc (Or at least, they don't have to be). They certainly give you more breathing room to focus on the combos above.

Final verdict: While this card is a bit clunky, it has way too much potential to be utterly broken for me to ignore it in good conscience. Double damage on your warblades, and meme-y (?) OTK options with spells, mean that I expect to see this card quite a bit.
I've actually done some playtesting using a chillwind yeti in place of this card, and the consistency at which I pulled off a 28 damage combo with this card turn 8 or 9 was astounding. Basically, you run a bunch of good 1 drops for early game (except spirit jailer), a bunch of the 2 mana card draw cards and two moargs, two 3 mana lifesteal spells (I used 1 eyebeam and 1 soul cleave) , Ilgynoth, Polkelt, and two copies of skull. Basically, the deck doesn't run board control cards like most traditional combo decks because it can usually hold its own with 1 drops and card draw up until the combo is ready.
Even when I didn't draw Polkelt early game, the amount of times I randomly hit the combo pieces with skull anyways was higher than expected. Assuming you can outcast the eye beam, you only need to discount at least 1 of the other 4 combo pieces for the 28 damage combo to be 10 mana or less. And when I did draw Polkelt early, I'd usually win turn 8. The amount of times the combo failed without human error was incredibly low, and even a partial combo can deal more than 10 damage which could win a game if your early game is strong enough.
Final verdict: I suspect that this card has a decent likelihood of being competitively viable in a combo deck.
Weapon Life Hunter meta incoming.
Pretty easy for DH to get that lifesteal weapon up to 12-15 damage... Yikes.
Well, I swear not. But I'm already seeing this card bugged as a "Lifesteal-Dealing damage" eternal loop xD
Definitely would have been, back in the day. Probably for the best they patched it.
Yeah, it was a good memory xD
