Remember that you kind of have to play the card on the same turn to get the outcast, so skull will still be on turn 6 ;) 

If you have a really small hand you can get the skull to 5, use up your other cards, and play it on turn 5 with it outcasted from the other side. It would be hard, but not impossible.

Turn 5 Skull, Outcast synergy, buff to Wandmaker...

This one is nice because the outcast card will naturally be on the end of your hand.

Still, this is one of the first discover effects for Demon Hunter, and the Outcast card pool is pretty good.
