After Witchwood, I was strongly hoping they would realize how bad the card (Shudderwock) is for the game. I was hoping they'd change it and make it into something a lot more balanced. So far, I see no counter to Shudderwock in the newest expansion.
How do you feel about not being changed yet, and having no counter ?

I wouldn't want them to print any new counters. Instead I'd just want them to rotate Dirty Rat and Deathlord in and out of standard when there was a demand for it.

I think that OTK druid with Malygos will be far superior in being bad for the game than Shudderwock soo yeah i dont really care. Also Shudderwock shaman never really bothered me that much on ladder becouse it is not that good to beat everything. I mean yeah i like big spell mage and that looses to this deck pretty much automaticaly but if you encounter like one Shudder per five games it is nto that bad.
Shudder decks in Wild are Tier 2 in Wild at best and they are not in an OTK shell but rather Jade,Reno,MIll(meme though) and other usefull battlecries. I'm ok with Shudderwock in Wild cause we have Rats and such. It looks like in Standart you will relly on Demonic Project. In Omnistone Peter Whalen clearly stated that there will be no tech cards similar to Dirty Rat as a neutral option in this expansion. So either you play Warlock with hand disruption. Or SMOrc/Combo him down.

If you listened to Peter's comments about the card, sometimes they think the game needs a neutral answer to a particular card type, and sometimes they want something class specific.
In this instance, it makes sense, since the deck reasonably dies to pressure.
Shudderwock Shaman only has ~54% winrate as per Hearthpwn. It isn't as large an issue as, say, Odd Paladin, which has an exaggerated win percentage (sometimes <60%). Granted, as soon as I know someone is playing SW Shaman I start cursing, but it the frustration of losing to SW Shaman is not directly related to an exaggerated winrate. I'll be happy to never hear Shudderwock's battlecry ever again, but it doesn't seem to need a direct counter.
The upcoming patch that changes how copying cards work mean that warrior can tech against shudderwock shaman with azalina soulthief. The idea is to steal a 1 cost shudderwock, and your battlecries with gain you more armour per shudderwock than they can deal per shudderwock.
Others have mentioned warlock has a tech option now, although it's a pretty mediorce one, but alas, if you want a tech and you play warlock, there it is.
For other control classes (e.g. BSM), yeah, the matchup is still going to be hell for the next few months unless shudderwock really turns out to suck in the new meta.
1. Not all cards have been revealed so maybe a counter card will be revealed. 2. Not all bad cards needs to be countered. People who play Shudderwock do not win games. 3. They printed a direct counter to Shudderwock for Warlock. It has pseudo Dirty Rat effect.

Yep, Malygos druid do what Shudderwock decks do but is insanely more faster and reliable.
I think shudderwock is going to get the ever loving shit kicked out of it by malygos combo decks and disruption warlock to the point where the majority of shamans on ladder will be token again. The question is, will warrior be able to out armor their burst. If yes, then that knocks them down another peg and we have a diverse meta where control is actually viable. If warrior can't survive, I think we are boned.
I'm still expecting for one of the reveal to be a some minion that when it kills another minion it removes all its copies from the hand and from the deck. Something similar has already appeared in other card games so I wouldn't be surprised to see it in HS too...
but maybe not in this expansion :D

There is one "counter". Demonic Project. Not the best counter, but it can transform Shudderwock. We also haven't seen about half the cards so far.

Moving into https://outof.cards/members/firepaladinhs/decks
Not all the cards have been announced... Demonic Project is a counter btw.
I don’t think shudderwock is that hard to beat compared to a Druid try running a tech card like void ripper
try out Baumgott`s mill druid
try out Baumgott`s mill druid
It was changed. There is an answer. Demonic Project.

No it doesn't need a counter. The counter is to either mill or burn before them down before they can pull off the combo. L2P.

Another, beside the Warlock one, will not be revealed in this set, via Peter Whalen.

So far all we got is that new warlock spell. But if only one clazs gets an counter card to combo decks it feels very unfair and scewed.
If we could get some kind of minion that denies battlecries while on the field then I'd be happy.
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Dirty rat, deathlord, mana wraith and nerubar weblord and now demonic project is all we got right now =/
